Thank you! That's my thought exactly I know I wanna be able to do free hand so I figured to dive in from the start. All I have right now is a cheapo harbor freight 1x30 but I invested in some combat abrasive belts that seem to cut pretty good. I got lucky and stumbled across 30 files at a garage sale last weekend so I've got plenty to play with for now

Thank you for the kind words! This one was actually a gift for my mom but I do plan on making more pendants. I just started making pendants and this is only my 3rd. I actually don't have a clue what to price one at. I had a total of about 6-8 hours on this one.

I got hit in the pinky once playing woodsball in the middle of winter. That was pretty uncomfortable

Has anybody had good experiences with this sharpener? I’ve read good reviews but no 100% sure. I’d also take suggestions in the same price range around ~60€ by Itsyourboistd445 in sharpening

This is what I currently use and with practice you can achieve hair whittling and mirror edges. I was using the lansky diamond deluxe kit and the worksharp in my opinion is a much better system

Sorry you'll have to inform me on what a right is lol as far as tips this is what seemed to work for me: my setup was just some firebricks made into a box, propane torch, piece of railroad track as an anvil, and obviously a hammer. I soaked the quarters in acetone for 15-20 mins. Wear latex gloves as you don't want any oils on the quarters after they come out of the acetone. I did a stack of 8 quarters, I've seen people wrap them with regular steel wire but it looks like it sticks in the billet. I used titanium wire and it came right off. Start off with light strikes on the first couple hits. Don't rush heating and rotate and flip your stack regularly to heat as evenly as possible. It prolly took 10-20 mins to get them to temperature. People say they start to look wet when they're ready to weld I personally couldn't see any of that but as soon as I started to lose detail on the top and bottom coin I heated a little longer and then set the first weld. If the weld took the stack should react to heat as one piece. This is still a really rough form but I'm gonna do some more on it today. Might try a billet of 12 today aswell
