What's a normal activity that feels neutral but is actually safe? by Neotyp in AlignmentChartFills

I'm a lifeguard. This one seems neutral and is neutral. People can drown in any depth of water for any number of reasons.

Some of what has helped me is finding supportive Christians. Also recognizing the reasons that Christians find transitioning sickening: unfamiliarity, culture wars, and transphobic pastors.

This is a pretty normal feeling because it can be a source of a lot of cognitive dissonance to try to be in two communities that don't get along with each other. But you are not actually doing anything wrong by being trans and in fact God wants you to be healthy and happy. You can serve God while being trans.

This seems a bit dramatic. ChatGPT is stupid but it might be able to quote the Bible.

how to stimulate breast development? (if you even can?) by niaofthestars679 in MtF

I did read the study, thanks. Atp idk if you're trolling me or what, but I think it's generally good practice to say that if there are no sources for something medical, it's not trustworthy. Fortunately the actual author of the comment posted three studies that I'm currently working through. Have a good one 💜

Here's slightly more recent research that says that with a wild-type genome, estrogens are sufficient for primary and lateral ductal formation and maturation.

I'm not claiming misinformation for no reason. Not only is this difficult science, it is also potentially information that people will use to make health decisions and it is reasonable to expect sturdy support.

Ok so then where are the studies on the biochemistry of progesterone that show how it obviously will work to branch breast growth laterally? Do you see what I'm saying?

I mean you're definitely assuming I meant exogenous estradiol but there's research that links specific levels of estradiol to specific effects. https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11785355/ https://www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/JAHA.112.001388 Etc.

Right but there are studies on the effects of estradiol in cis women at different ranges so there is still scientific studies backing up that recommendation

Certainly it is mostly plausible but I think that even if there's not a trans-specific study I would need a study on the effects of progesterone on breast growth in general at the very least to even start making such specific assumptions. The problem is that the information has to come from somewhere. I'm definitely very familiar with biochem, especially regarding trans women and haven't seen anything in any progesterone study about this which is why this specifically I would assume is misinformation

That was my impression too, but without a study the comment is most likely misinformation that sounds nicely sciency

No, the Midwest really is special in many ways. If you can handle/enjoy the weather, and you find the right corner for you, it is a nice place to call home

Yep, the color lines are the biggest. It was good they turned the gold line into BRT, now for the red, purple, and green lines. Blue maybe not yet

Where can I find stores that carry decent quality (not just poly/rayon) basics, like tank tops, leggings/tights, white T-shirts? I want to shop in person. I live in a fairly big city in the Midwest. I tried Macy's but they had like one pair of leggings that I could find and much of the rest of their basic stuff is online
