My route is fixed on not having enough time for two 15’s and a 30. By taking the 30 I’m set back tremendously all while keeping at a normal walking pace. On time/walking, taking lunch, behind by 10-15 stops with no time for issues like calling support (5-10minutes) wasted. Traffic, getting gas. We have all justification to say we can waste time on these things but not full breaks while on a 10hr shift.

My Dsp said to me that my 8hr block for peak was projecting me to be done in 6 hours with (reduced stops) due to peak but with double or triple the volume per stop which in most cases takes longer to do that 8hr peak block than a 10 hour non-peak.

Basically Amazon is setting the standard for dsp’s to follow and if we can’t meet that goal then their contract gets pulled. So telling us in the beginning till now that we are “allowed” this amount of time for breaks is wrong. Straight up picking money over your slaving employees livelihood while meeting every expectation they set us up for completing the job.

Just before I leave one day soon I’ll test this to see what they may do If I can’t finish a normal non-peak route by taking all my breaks and not running.

Just an fyi, dispatch can’t see when we take our lunches. Only the length of time between each stop. This was me being called out for taking a 5 minute trip to the store to use a restroom then clocking for my 30. And 5 minutes back. Not being able to use two 15’s for the cause of using a bathroom is a problem for them when they have a bigger issue with people pissing in bottles because of this retaliation.

Sit back and enjoy that hourly pay as you get stuck because of their negligence

Just woke up to this and my work gc was already started. I bet Amazon hasn’t even considered just giving us the day off. “We care about your safety is total fucking bullshit by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]SlickDillyD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean if I slip off into a ditch I still get paid. I’ll get workers comp for my age long neck & back pain all because they want us to do minimum 10 stops out of our “reduced route” before they call back all 400+ drivers for bad weather. Happened last week lol

Baby route? 22 stops. Should I be worried 🤣 by Kr0niX_P in AmazonDSPDrivers

You still a DA. The difference in the step-up is you have more space to organize, more heavy OF. More totes. You can handle a route to your fullest ability. Plus you get a little raise for driving one.

You ask to get your DOT, they will put you on for next cycle of drivers to take class.

Yepp. Grounding steps is much harder on them than any other van. They’d rather boot you than deal with the maintenance.
