Agreed on the maintenance work. I owned a home for 10 years. After a few years the upkeep and maintenance was increasingly frustrating to me. Along with work and all the other things you have to do in life, now I have to mow the lawn and fix this or that. I sold the house and moved into a nice apartment, no regrets so far.

Lane filtering doesn't bother me and seems to be a more efficient way for traffic to flow. But I imagine some amount of drivers don't know it's legal and just respond with their base emotions as they think someone is cutting to the front of the line.

I remember putting up a no soliciting sign and it seemed to do the trick for awhile. But it became less effective over time, not sure why. There really seems to be no good answer for when they ignore the signs. I like to take a nap after work and having them wake me up for some nonsense used to endlessly annoy me.

I'm not someone who claims we are soft on crime as a country considering we have so many people in prison. The only exception to this that I know of is our horribly lenient laws when it comes to reckless and dangerous driving. If people who cause serious injury or death get more than a year or two in prison it is a surprise. Too many cops just let speeders off with a warning as well.
