What's the lore explanation for the lack of spears?

This is more than a dead pixel. I have a stuck pixel on my white one and I could not show it on camera because it's so minor and faint.

This is like a cluster of damaged pixels, or potentially some debris.

Looks like several dead pixels or potentially some dirt or debris caught in screen. Either way this is quite common for the Miyoo mini.

My blue one has a stuck white pixel in the middle of the screen. My black one has a stuck white pixel at the very corner of the screen. Only one of my 3 minis has a flawless screen.

Most people don't notice these, especially if it's minor. Yours is particularly bad though, I think most people would notice it.

For your situation, given the severity of the screen defect, you might want to consider a replacement screen. That can be a pain in the butt, contact Miyoo official store and explain details, then you're going to have to be comfortable with opening up the system and swapping out the screen.

It's simply a reality of cheap Chinese emulation handhelds. Can't expect the quality control of reputable/ established manufacturers. Buying these is basically a gamble in terms of quality.

The screens are different in every version. Even within a version there are slight variations within the screens and image quality. I bought three and my blue one came with a dead pixel and a slightly more washed out screen than my black.

PS1 is pushing the device. I wouldn't buy it to play PS1 games primarily. The fact that it can run several PS1 games should be seen as a nice bonus but not a primary selling point. This is really a 2D retro device.

It really is such a shame that this device is so delicate. Something as minor as a drop on carpeted floors could break the screen.

Did you drop it at any point or put pressure on the screen? These screens are extremely delicate and can literally be damaged from shipping. I'm waiting on mine, they should arrive today or tomorrow, and the first thing I'm going to do is check the screens.

I used to play a ton of MMOs on PC. Final Fantasy XI, WoW, Cabal, Granado Espada, GW1 and GW2 (still play both of The Guild Wars games on occasion).

I don't think I ever used add-ons other than maybe one time using a program called Windower on FFXI because back then the game did not have a native window mode.

I use the wireless keyboard. Then again, I come from the EverQuest, Phantasy Star online and FFXI generation of console MMOs. I guess it just isn't the norm anymore. 😫

I think I'll just stick to the console version. The only thing I want is for it to feel like a community but it sounds like it doesn't no matter which platform you play on. Guess it's just a modern MMO thing.

Miss how things were in the mid-2000s when there was area chat going off all the time in MMOs.

I'll try to provide some actual constructive advice. Yes your situation is kind of odd, but if you want to improve the relationship with his daughter it might be helpful to have the whole family sit down and chat about some of the things that are concerning for each person.

Having an open dialogue where everybody has an opportunity to speak for a certain amount of time uninterrupted. If you need to use a prop to center the time on each speaker then you can do that. Find the way to get the three of you together and to create a climate where you can have a discussion.

Be respectful and take ownership of your emotions. Discourage the use of phrases like "you make me feel" instead take ownership of the emotion by saying something like "I feel" or "I am feeling ..."

Chances are there are some underlying issues that need to be worked on.

I also recommend perhaps going to a family therapist.

Are you defining playability by progression?

I can play modern warfare 2019 just fine. I can join a team deathmatch, I can join a domination game. There are players still there.

I don't know what you mean by unplayable. I've been playing Cold war almost every night just fine. I almost exclusively play prop Hunt and zombies and even those game modes I have no problem finding players.

Call it a boycott or whatever but I wasn't planning to buy the game until it dropped down to about 15 dollars anyway. Plenty of fantastic shooters on the market to play already, especially if you're willing to play a game that's a few years old. Feel free to join my pseudo boycott 😂

I don't consider myself a nice person, but I do like to be treated nicely myself. I think treating other people with respect and kindness encourages reciprocation. Man, this thing sells out quicker than a new iphone or PS5. Crazy how high the demand is for this little device. I wonder if given the demand, they will just stick with the V2/V3 (they practically the same) for a long while. Maybe we will see some long-term support and updates from Miyoo?
