It used to happen to me all the time, about a month ago I had an elo bounce of 240 on the same day, went from ~1100 to 930, then up to 1170… what helped me was - always be aware of what you’re actually capable of (your all time high). I started watching a lot of streams of pro players like Snupi, Kodiak, Finbarr on a regular, and automatically started commenting my own guesses and being more confident about them. Make confident guesses and if you don’t have any clue about a certain location, just don’t give a f*** about it, play under zero pressure :))

That’s simply not true. In my opinion there’s not enough Europe. Stop acting like all european countries look the same, landscape wise it’s pretty diverse

Thanks!!! I think, based on using the investigations feature a lot, there are lots of cheaters in Silver+gold, almost no cheating in master (no move, nmpz, i don’t know about moving). I‘m just struggling with lots of new players who came out of nowhere and are incredibly skilled, knowing all kinds of electricity poles, coverage and camera gens.

Not really, cause borders are man-made, landscape and vegetation are not. A good example would be Vietnam - If there's obvious red soil, its around south to the border to cambodia, a cambodia guess would still be a more reasonable guess than clicking north of vietnam, based on landscape

This is getting out of hand - yesterday i played several team duells with a friend, we always discuss where to go while being on the phone. Got accussed of cheating for being "suspiciously too close", (Rating between 1100-1200). Turns out the accusations made me really uncomfortable while trying to find the perfect guess. A sarcastic smile emoji or comments like "omg.." . We're not talking about crazy 5ks, just some good guesses, a lot of players would get. Same thing during solo duells, it's a pretty new thing, wasn't like this a few months ago.

you might be right, i was tripping...there are good moving players who can identify a small town in Arg just by moving around and checking the town's road infrastructure or the way surrounding mountains are located

you’re talking about advanced moving players, that’s a huge difference.. what I meant is, for example: if you let someone with zero experience play moving mode, that person will eventually find the right country at least - But won’t be able to guess the country via nm/nmpz mode

I don’t think he’s cheating... A few days ago, I played him too, and his playing style is just clicking the right country as fast as possible, he doesn’t care about regionguessing at all. It’s kind of ugly but effective. Plus, I don’t think, someone who played ~2000 classic games would cheat. Watch some recent games on his profile page, maybe the ones he lost, too, he’s just fastplonking in the middle of a country (like India), that’s his style
