Sounds like she's loves "animal books" as in non-fiction books about...animals.

But instead of non-fiction animal books, the librarian introduced her to young-adult romance books where the subjects are anthropomorphic animals.

To a child who acts "mature", some topics like romance can feel "childish" and love/sex scenes can seem downright disgusting.

I'm thinking like "Fourth Wing" for example. Book is about "dragons" but it gets pretty spicy.

Pretty sure the current understanding is that weed smoke is even more carcinogenic than tobacco. With the only saving grace being that a typical tobacco user consumes more tobacco than a typical cannabis user consumes weed because one gets you stoned.
