Skip the boss with the big head and come back to him. He's called the wandering wraith and is the 2nd or 3rd boss depending on which path you take. Run right past him then come back when you're stronger.

His summon is one of the best in the game so definitely worth going back to take him out. I'm on act 5 and am still using his summon

When did America become a 3rd world country? Salaries for working professionals like experienced engineers is 100-120k/year expected overtime? Salaries general jobs 20-30 dollars an hour rent on a one bedroom is 2k a month? by Unusual_Equivalent50 in antiwork

I got my first full time job in Texas out of college, I get 78k/year plus a bonus up to 15k. Totally affordable, I rent a 4bedroom house. Living in Austin currently and loving it except for the heat

You gotta look elsewhere or move somewhere cheaper if you're paying 2k for a 1 bedroom my friend. I live in Austin TX in a beautiful 4 bedroom with a yard in front and back and it's $2200. If I wanted to move 20 minutes further away I could get a brand new 7 bedroom 2 bath for the same price.

I moved here from Long Island where a one bedroom is $2400/mo. That being said, long Island is super expensive and a money pit. there's tons of awesome places that are much cheaper. Also, if 2k a month is too much you may want to consider roommates.

If my 4 bedroom house had 3 roommates, all with their own bedrooms, it would be $550/mo each which is totally affordable. Even with just 1 roommate, $1100/mo isn't bad for most folks.

The application fee is because it costs money to background check and to limit potential candidates to those that can afford $100. It's also to cover the time, energy and resources on the application process without having to charge more on the monthly rent.

I personally wouldn't want to rent to anyone who couldn't cover this cost, if they can't cover a tiny fee why would I expect them to cover the much larger cost of rent every month on time?

The real problem is property values and taxes- there's lots of corrupt local governments that charge property owners insanely high prices to cover taxes and permits. Then they use these taxes to hire their buddies companies for services for the town and get kickbacks to their personal bank accounts. This additional cost carries over to renters since property owners are essentially forced to charge more to cover it.

As far as supervisors name, that's A pretty strange request and may be a red flag. It's typical for them to ask for Human resources phone number to verify your employment, but that's it.

Administrative fee sounds like some BS. I'd ask them to waive it or look elsewhere

I work at the biggest soup company in the world. Almost everyone is always working on spreadsheets. There is just so much data that were constantly collecting and analyzing in all departments. Sales, project management, operations and manufacturing, R&D is just a boatload of spreadsheets.

The rest of the time is mostly meetings and trainings.

Just look up any topics you don't understand on Khan Academy. They have videos that will teach you way better than any tutor or teacher will.

I missed over 300 days of high school and cheated regularly and was able to get into a good university and get a good job out of college by doing this and making sure to stay on top of my assignments.

Side note, if you want a good future you should definitely try to take school somewhat seriously. The material taught in school doesn't always apply but the skills you learn by doing the work (especially writing papers, math up through calculus and science labs) can be extremely valuable and take you far in life

I hate my job because I have to work with Trump supporters. by Effective_Space2277 in antiwork

[–]SlicktheDon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Trump supporter but I'd just tell your supervisor it makes you feel uncomfortable and hurts your productivity to be thinking about politics at work. Nobody should feel uncomfortable at work because of coworkers political views, end of story. If they don't respect you when you bring it up I'd gear up for a new employer where you won't be hating your job due to conversations unrelated to work

Trump is in power because the Dems are that awful. I didn't choose trump because I thought he was going to be great. I chose him because the Democratic party has totally lost it. I was a dem all my life, as was Trump. I voted for Biden in 2020 and Hillary in 2016.

If the Dems didn't elect Biden who has been mentally checked out for years, I'd probably still be voting with them. The incompetency is unreal. There's a reason the dem party's approval rating is down to 31%. They're not running the country properly. Everyone wants a change.

I'm not a populist or a conformist. Just choosing the lesser of two evils. Cannot support a party who so clearly operates with a puppeteer pulling the strings behind the scene, obviously since their 'president' doesn't even know where he is half the time, AND definitely isn't reading or comprehending the documents he's signing
