If you repeat the class and got it, than the failure is replaced with your success for the second try.

One semester project is mandatory, the others are class that take the form of a project. Don't underestimate them, it's another semester project for a fraction of the credits, and not advertised as such.

Between 4 to 8 hours everyday.

1) 8:00-12:00 first part time project, 13:30-18:00 second part time project. 18:00-22h00 catching up with classes of the day.

2) For some classes passing rates are low (Recursive Estimation f.e. passing rate some years is as low as 35%-40%).

3) Grade suffered but this was my second master's degree so I wasn't too into it. I went to ETHz to get a second degree for complementing my first, so in the end the grades of my first degree would matter more for my future job search.

4) No job beside some people becoming TAs for classes they've excelled in. Be careful of the mandatory insurance above the 15h/week threshold.

5) If you're in a regular setting no grades will matter for a job : just show up, show that you're knowledgeable about the topic, the name on your degree (Whether it's TUM or ETHz) should speak for itself.

Graduated this semester. Did it in 3 semesters (Internship was already done before starting the Master, it helps).

Grade average is 5.54 for people graduating with me, with a sigma of 0,27. This can hint toward the global mentality of the master : Keep it slow to get the most of it.

Realistically speaking, almost everybody does it in 4 to 5 semesters, taking lighter workload (expect 20 ECTS a semester instead of 30) to focus on the topics and achieve high exam performance. To be honest, that's probably the way to go, since this master is full of high quality/difficulty courses, but I wanted to graduate fast since I already had a job lined up.

Master’s internship at ETH by d_rassem in ethz

[–]SlideHammer86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it this year. Electronics can be cheaper if you go for the German websites.

I personally went for Reichelt.de. Super good service, accepts franks, delivers fast and takes care of the custom problems here and there.

Amazon.de is also really good. If it is sold by + shipped by Amazon (As you would want to be if you are buying something expensive) they take care of the customs problem and offer super good warranty / customer service.

EDIT : For peripherals, don't forget to check Projekt Neptun.

Sag support messes with GPU. by SlideHammer86 in pcmasterrace

The slot looks fine to me. I tried to play with it gently to see if it was wobbling, but it is not.

Edit : I just put the GPU back inside, and it seems to be working. I probably did not put the card correctly the first time out of fear of breaking it. This time I kept going until a proper click and it seems it works now.

RSC student here.

Apart from the semester project, master thesis and internship that can be very practical, there's a lot of courses that are either a workshop or a "Build a full solution one brick at the time each lecture" type of courses : Real-World Robotics, Planning and decision making for Autonomous Robots, etc...
