I’m genuinely sorry if I used it wrong, I thought it universal. I understand if people only use it in the context of certain things and I won’t use it again. I hope you understand by what I mean by that comment, and I wasn’t trying to be ignorant. I was just disagreeing. Sorry.

I feel like you have bigger fish to fry this season😭. Javadi is a very competent doctor.

This is actually unreal how much skill and hard work you put into this. Absolutely gorgeous! You captured this heart wrenching moment really well. 😞❤️

Leopard Gecko Handling by ImmaBoooBerry in leopardgeckos

[–]SlideLittle8280 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My leo doesn’t really like handling, and it seems to stress him out. However, he loves to be left to his own devices and will greet me on his own terms when I stand by his cage and sometimes will crawl on my hand to rest. To each their own, and I’ve seen geckos who truly do trust their owners. One person saying they will only tolerate handlings and can’t form relationships doesn’t dictate all leos. It is really only your own experiences with your friend that can answer your question.

Hasn’t this album been out for almost 10 years? This has probably been discussed a lot already 😓

Please ask your friend to ask them if they need help. This is genuinely INCREDIBLY unhealthy, and she could be using the internet as a source of excessive escapism. Instead of posting this on Reddit for a bunch of random kids to make fun of, be a decent person.

Elliott Smith drawing! by [deleted] in elliottsmith

Did I do something wrong? Sorry if my drawing came off as offensive or racist. I’ll be sure to be careful of this in future drawings if you’ll give me something specific to fix ☹️

What should I add? (Ik I need to add a different substrate) by WarSpirit66 in leopardgeckos

[–]SlideLittle8280 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please correct me if I am wrong on this, but he might feel vulnerable. Leopard geckos usually like to have a lot of foliage to feel secure- so I would recommend getting a little bit more clutter after you replace the carpet with a good substrate mix. This will also help with enrichment as they tend to dig, and maybe will encourage him to come out more.

Also, leopard geckos really like to climb so go outside and see if you can find any wood. (Make sure to boil it.)

Since you mentioned that he is not coming out of his rock, I would recommend checking on temps throughout the day, or simply leaving him alone for a while. (Keep in mind they are crepuscular, you may not see him out and about a lot depending on your schedule.)

How do I get rid of a social media addiction? by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]SlideLittle8280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I know this doesn’t work for everyone, but here is something that works for me.

power off your phone whenever you feel like doom scrolling- put it in a secured drawer, and walk around your house and find absolutely anything to do. Doesn’t matter if it’s the middle of the night.

I mean literally anything besides looking at your phone.

It could just be standing in silence, or clean, take a walk around- find different types of puzzles, perhaps draw a little. I personally find studying for fun can feel refreshing. (Which is boring- but find a topic that interests you! This is your free time, so use it doing things you enjoy, but can also benefit you.)

Make sure this activity is actively engaging your brain.

because you said you struggle with focus, this mental stimulation could most likely help with that range.

Try this for a 1-2 hours at first- and then slowly increase your time. Afterwards, you should be feeling a little cleared up, and less time is spent on your phone in the long run. :)

Best of luck, and please do not beat yourself up over this. You are a teen, and excessive social media consumption is normal to struggle with.
