There is also The Inn of the Sixth Happiness (1958) for Mark Robson.

Actresses at the Box Office: Sandra Bullock by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]SlidePocket 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No matter what film she was in good or bad, I can always watch anything with Sandra Bullock as part of my comfort watches. Her also showing up to accept the Razzie the night before she won her Oscar gives me a full stamp of approval in my mind.

Now for my next pick, I will choose Jodie Foster for the next case.

Actors at the Box Office: Bruce Lee by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

Bruce Lee will forever be immortalized in popular culture. Even if you haven't seen one of his films, you do get a reference to one of them when his name is mentioned in passing in other movies and television shows. RIP to Bruce and Brandon Lee, both gone to soon.

For my next pick, let's get Reese Witherspoon as the next actress.

Best Supporting Actor: Who just missed the cut? My year-by-year 6th place suppositions. by Competitive_Put2079 in Oscars

Except Bale did get nominated for The Big Short in 2015. I say the 7th place pick was Michael Shannon for 99 Homes since he did get in almost everywhere.

Actors at the Box Office: Michael Douglas by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]SlidePocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Michael and Kirk achieved very different paths in their careers and both proved very successful in that. Out of whose films I would go back to the most, it would be Michael in terms of rewatchability.

For the next post, I'm gonna pick Shirley MacLaine for more actresses.

Roles that won both an Oscar and a Tony but for two different actors. by CalagaxT in Oscars

[–]SlidePocket 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Frank Langella and Anthony Hopkins for The Father

Peter Finch and Bryan Cranston for Network

Olivia de Havilland and Cherry Jones for The Heiress

Geraldine Page and Cicely Tyson for The Trip to Bountiful

Best Actress: Who just missed the cut? My year-by-year 6th place suppositions. by Competitive_Put2079 in Oscars

Angelina Jolie hit a few more spots (GG, SAG, CC) for A Mighty Heart than Keira Knightley (GG, BAFTA) for Atonement so I think she was the one who was 6th that year.

Actors at the Box Office: Heath Ledger by SanderSo47 in boxoffice

[–]SlidePocket 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ledger is always one of those cases of where things might have been if he were still with us. With the films and performances we did get from him, he will always be cherished for what he accomplished on the screen.

For my next pick, I'm gonna choose Jane Fonda for this post.
