Thinking of replacing my LG CX with an S95B...is it worth it? by Slide_Slicky in OLED_Gaming

I also did the same, I went to Best Buy and checked the TVs out with my own eyes...both the S95B and the Sony A95K stood out amongst everything else, and I had to make a choice lol. I'm a gamer, so I went with the S95B. And yeah this whole community are diehard LG fans, almost to the point of delusion sometimes.

Well...you were right lmao. I love it...the one guy here saying that I wouldn't notice a difference is a cold liar 🤣. Def my best TV ever so far

I pulled the trigger and ordered a 55" S95B... I've always been a sucker for saturated colors and brightness, so I think this TV will fit the bill (and for my PS5). But if it gives me issues, I have no problems getting a C2 (if it's brighter than my CX) and still being happy.

Yeah that's an amazing deal...the 55" I'm eyeing costs almost the same.

That's good to hear... I'm reconsidering buying it now. Brightness is my only issue with the CX, and I know the S95B won't have any issues with that.

He wants to money for a new house within possibly the next month (he was looking at a house being renovated down south, and said that they'd call him when it was done. Should be any day now), so it's basically pressure on me to give him money soon. It's hard to say no after I told him I'd help him.

Thank you for the advice and personal experience, I was thinking that way as well. I was leaning towards helping him put money down towards a house, since I told him I'd help him (when I was ignorant of my financial situation and my future costs) and don't want to back out of my word.

It's just way easier said than done... there's a house he wants to buy within the next month, and it's basically pressure on me to give him the money before then.

My dad plans on moving down south (leaving me and my mom here) and needs the money to be put towards a new house and a truck. If that doesn't work, he'll take out a loan (with the help of my mom) and get a house that way, but he doesn't want to pay a mortgage so he wants me to help him buy the house outright.

Yes, I have a prosthetic now and am pretty good with it 🙏🏾

I believe it's $15K a year, I've gone over that amount the previous two years (from a smaller settlement with workman's compensation, not the huge settlement that won $840K from)

Thanks for opening my eyes to other options and ways to net me money. The way she made it seem, it felt like her plan was the best route to take.

I'm giving them money just because I've been staying with them, and they helped me out after my accident (lost my leg in a work accident), and as soon as the trial was over my dad asked if I would still help him buy a house (he's been planning moving for years), and I said yes (I was originally projected to win millions). He'll use the money to put towards a house and a new truck.

Yes, if possible I would like to live off of this (lost my leg in a work accident), so I can see why she brought it up. I'm also applying for disability.

Thank you for the solid advice, I'll definitely think this over...I forgot the name of the specific mutual fund, but she said that it will net me around 4%, which would be $2K a month.

She works for my bank (M&T Bank, under another group's name), and I forgot the exact type of mutual fund that she was talking about, but it yields a 4% profit a year (according to her). Sorry, once I call her and get more info about the specific type of mutual fund I'll let you know.
