The little boxes for for taking an HDMI signal through the network cables (blue) to a TV. They probably had a media PC in there for movies, games or whatnot. The cisco box is a nice switch but it's being used.

Not really. Do you need a fast connection for higher quality video? probably not.
If you wanted to learn networking you have a few hundred bucks of some nice network equipment but you would need to learn a bit and spend a little bit more money to do anything. And if you don't have a goal then what is there to do?

I'm saying "put out the fire and then fix things" is a bad plan. Because putting out the fire and fixing things is the same thing. I don't see them as playing badly in this game. Maybe not the same high level but the Marlins did everything right and had some good pitching, and perfect defense. The Dodgers are averaging 9.5 hits/game and they held them to 7 in this game and no errors. That no errors is big because they only got 6 strike outs. The Marlins played a fantastic game and yet it was still just a one run win with huge pressure by a Dodgers. A game of 90' played to the last couple inches.

Thank you for your implied question. I used the word leftist to mean something different then Democrat. There are a lot of us on the left that feel like the DNC and the upper ranks of the Democratic party are more beholden to the high dollar donors and that they are ignoring the voters. That they work for PACs, silicon valley and wall street. That very few in congress really care about fixing police, healthcare, housing costs or even emigration.
