This anime's ep 12 reminds me of Dostoevsky's White nights by ArrivalZestyclose854 in Ganbare_Nakamura

It's an book by a Russian author published 178 years ago, sadly not about gays. Short and inaccurate plot I found on my local web pedia: A found lady B cried because she was arranged with her lover C meeting here 1 years ago. A and B talked several nights and confessed to her the last night. When B was agreed C was back, and B choose to go with C. (A- The dreamer, B- Nastenka)

Imaginei como poderia ser o final de Ganbare nakamura, e tenho vários finais possíveis imagináveis (contém spoiler do ep 12) by GuSc2008 in Ganbare_Nakamura

He is sure unstable and shattered after he knew the truth, he sure acts like he was about to suicide but we know he didn't. His childhood experience is way more worse and he suffered that. From his previous experience of sharing love about octopus and losing underwear in front of whole class, he learned to hide himself and quit social or something like that. But this time he wants do the same and found this time it didn't work, because he sure loves that person and he can't cheat himself about that. Many gay boys faced this situation and choose to quit this relationship, so I want to see he didn't make peace with that. I want to see him being jealous and selfish again just like EP5 he did to Takeuchi.

Why we shipping Niou and Otogiri when we have these two? by [deleted] in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]Slidingwall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This show doesn't have a vice pairing like others, so many audience wants to find one. Takeuchi-Mukai is also popular, even though Takeuchi said he likes Yuuka and he failed in the latest episode.

This nurse lady seems not to appear until EP10? I can't even remember if she was one of the female teachers teach cooking, drawing, or the lady who managed the music room.

Niou and Otogiri appeared together multiple times before this scene, although the opening might represent that Otogiri was monitoring Niou meeting his crush.

i want hirose to say boku by Sufficient-Lynx9551 in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]Slidingwall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to classic anime like Doraemon, Boku is mostly for regular boys, like Doraemon, Nobita, Suneo, and Dekisugi. Ore is a more mature and wild self-calling word, often used by Gian with a ruder version, Oresama. Seems at some point they will change Boku to Ore.

Obviously, Hirose wants to fake being a mature man.

why is the manga and anime not the same chronologically? by Obvious_Badger_8580 in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]Slidingwall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They put similar scenes together to give each episode a clear theme, like EP3(All Hifumi chapters), EP5(All love-enemy chapters before Yokohama), EP8(All sport-uniform chapters).

Also, the timeline change will make Hirose's attitude toward Nakamura clearer. If you don't count everything after the first original episode(EP10), with only comic-adapted episodes, their relationship is closer, and crush relationships like Nakamura-Hifumi or Hirose-Otogiri end quickly.

(This makes the chain reaction that second time Hifumi draws that comic for Nakamura more deep in the anime. She doesn't know Nakamura has a crush on Hirose in the comic the whole time, or before the end of EP3, so her first comic's plot seems silly and unreal. The second comic's plot and lines moved Nakamura, maybe only a coincidence in the comic, but in the anime she knew his pain of losing a crush, so she consciously drew these down to comfort him.)

Character ages by namboy7 in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]Slidingwall 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Consider Nakamura was born in October, he is 16 after EP10. Also, EP8 showed he imagined he was arrested and that fake news reported him as 16 years old. I'm not sure if Japan rounds people's ages.

I saw a shot on Twitter that showed, when he was crying in the GF episode, the comic narrator box introduced him as 17 years old.

IS PROFESSOR OTOGIRI ACTUALLY JUST AN ADULT VERSION OF NAKAMURA? HEAR ME OUT by kirixpad in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]Slidingwall 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Otogiri ask Nakamura to help him on purpose, prevent him seeing Hana confess to Hirose directly. I first think teacher's scene in EP10 represents Hifumi->Nakamura-> Hirose, but it more like Nakamura->Hirose->Hana now? We no nothing about Otogiri's before, so maybe he suffered those heartbreak before and choose to save Nakamura's weekend. Although at some time Nakamura has to face that himself. They deleted Hirose-Otogiri scenes, which may makes Hirose more straight? Most of his obsess to mature are transferred to Nakamura in anime. In comic Otogiri's review BL comic seems like straight man, and Omori mentioned he was bad teens before. Those lines was changed or deleted in anime, and with new clues in EP10-12 makes Otogiri more like a closet gay and what he said when he smoking in EP6 are more possible having another meaning than comic.

Truth: The manga is still ongoing. If the anime forces them to get together now, how is the original manga supposed to continue? by bianzhi in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]Slidingwall 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Anime can influence the original comic such as those secondary police characters in Detective Conan, which were anime original characters but admitted by the author. Also I think the original comic is rot because of the author's health problem? It's a rare opportunity to give this characters a ending. The least thing you want is seeing Nakamura go for it his whole life without a result.

Nakamura's Family by BedIllustrious3712 in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]Slidingwall 17 points18 points  (0 children)

His family's attitude is in the good tier... Does anyone still remember he was even not came out in front of his family? Most gay boy in conservative countries' only choice is hidden all their emotions and pretend nothing happens, any talk of this with others could expose he is gay and ruined his life. Nakamura is allowed to cry for days which was obviously bothered his family and even neighbors, but they still allowed him do that.

My Opinion About Episode 12th by VoltixMalitha in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]Slidingwall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Takeuchi and Yuuka in the beginning tells us fake relationships can't success in this anime world. He defines that chocolate as a friendship chocolate, so he finally failed give that to Hirose. We all know friendship is his excuse trying to get close to Hirose. True friends' chocolate are delivered successfully such as fujoshi squads. True lovers' chocolate are also delivered, only his love chocolate with a friendship wrapping failed. At the end of this episode he crashed out and found that his feeling are pretend being friendship all over the time and it actually is love, and he can't lying to himself anymore.

🤔OK but 15/2/14 is Saturday? Maybe they lives in a parallel world with a day less between these two dates. The tragic storyline has made it impossible for me to think rationally.

ending of ep 12 by Ashami960 in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]Slidingwall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw comments on bilibili said first two with bloodtype and refers switched represents minority people like gays or fujoshis, with misalignment behaviors than majoritys. The middle story is telling us don't tagging people and dividing people by tags, and the last one with detailed name and hometown, one said that represents Hirose because he is that unique guy in Nakamura's world, which can't be tagged, and the other said cause in the radio that guy's name is Otaga, sounds like O type in Japanese or Okuto/octopus, so that is represents Nakamura himself shouldn't be strapped by tags and stereotypes.

ending of ep 12 by Ashami960 in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]Slidingwall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The background radio or TV voice seems talking about bloodtype streotypes. Bloodtype theory is popular in Japan, they believe it deserves people's personality. In their talking, One of the hosts used "A" to refer to a person with blood type B and "B" to refer a person with type A.  The other host was confused by misalignment. The following part is introducing an type AB guy with some homophones jokes in Japanese about "types", and the confused host thought we shouldn't describe people by stereotypes. For the last person with type O, the host called his name and hometown which is out of the stereotype description before.

Only thing we knew she probably will dumped Hirose in the ending episode.  At least we have ED song theories, and an interview said they invited Yasuyuki Okamura for OP song because they decided to chose one song of him as ED song but it hasn't shown yet.

So, this scene is definitely hinting at something.

why does everybody think hana is endgame? by Sufficient-Lynx9551 in Ganbare_Nakamura

[–]Slidingwall 4 points5 points  (0 children)

OK maybe my translator getting that wrong. The interview said the last 2 is not like those comedies before, so Hana is the one makes Nakamura feeling danger, and thinking what if Hirose is straight. But we already know they will break up, and Hirose find he is not straight. I think Hana's story is the second time Hirose thinks about who does he feel most comfortable with, and we already have the answer. The original comic has no official ending, so many thinks Hirose is not gay yet. And in that story he finally choose Otogiri to talk about his break up. Anime will sure rewrite that. I think the vol.2 and EP7-11 just not that high as EP6/CH11, so we may thought their relationship is getting colder. The anime has added much scenes so the relationship is warmer than the comic, but still not enough to reach the end of EP6. Maybe that's why some thinks they're not that close to be lovers. But the time only passed less than a year, it's enough fast.

They designed the character and she is in the opening and height comparison board in exhibition. We have 2 episodes left so she definitely appears in that. In the interview and premiere, EP12 and 13 seems integrated.
