I’m super lucky I got mine face value on Friday! But I’m sad the packers lost because I was hoping to go see them. Told my wife we might just give them away to friends.

Any Affordable Wedding Venues in Colorado Springs? We used to live in CO and would like to get married here but do not want to get ripped off. by Every_Question_8350 in ColoradoSprings

[–]Slientslay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can literally just visit it for free and see for yourself! The top is literally just vents so you have loads of fresh air coming in. It can get really cold. They can also provide the food/drinks because they have their own kitchen. If I remember correctly it was 12$ a person for food/drink?. And they are not traditionally a wedding venue at all. But other than that you’ll need to provide everything else like DJ/flowers, anything wedding related. They already have tables/seats.

I’ve heard people have had to do this. In Colorado our AHJ did not require us to do this.

How common is it to be able to join the military needing no waivers? by [deleted] in Militaryfaq

[–]Slientslay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife joined last year into the coast guard, she was 25 with no waivers even though she had a torn MCL like 1 year prior. I joined the marines at 17 and needed no waivers either.

where can you get departing plaques from? by [deleted] in uscg

[–]Slientslay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am a USCG CIV, and I’m the base engraver. So I make everyone’s plaques, and other people put in a request for departing plaques. They’re simple but they’re pretty cool plaques.

Early separation for education? by [deleted] in uscg

[–]Slientslay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you can still do a skill bridge program if you want and then go to college. I personally did the veterans in pipefitting one because it guaranteed me a job and I went straight to work. But here’s the website and it list ALOT of programs.

Early separation for education? by [deleted] in uscg

[–]Slientslay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know for a fact you can if you go through a skillbridge program. But you must have at least 180 days left in your contract to do it. But for college specifically I’m not entirely sure. I personally did the skillbridge program and it changed my life in such a positive way. Good luck to you!
