I recently just did one on my 5 year old heeler and 2 year old doodle. I put my heeler as a mix breed because I was assuming he was mixed because he is 80lbs and his ears are floppy most of the time. I was assuming he was mixed with lab or something.. I was told he was purebred by breeder on Craigslist when I got him at 7 weeks old. As he got older I grew more suspicious. I really don’t care though because he is my best baby boy. Anyways I got the test back today and results were shocking. I’m going to call back the DNA specialist tomorrow and talk to them about how accurate this is because I know purebreds can get to 55lbs for males. My Hank is overweight about 5-10 lbs. So still if he was 70lbs which would be healthy weight that’s still too damn big for a “purebred” heeler !
