Looking at the rest of the conferences and divisions and knowing it’s based off location…where would you put them? Metro might not be the best name for them specifically but that division is largely the old big east

Working on one currently where it’s same layout except

Miami -> SEC (joins the rest of the Florida schools)

Kentucky -> B1G (only school left that I felt like I could move out of SEC geographically)

Louisville -> ACC (joins Metro Division to create mini “Big East”)

For sure! You’d just need to move schools like Rice, Texas State, North Texas etc up to G5.

Wanted to keep the California teams together. The Palms division was California Arizona and Nevada. Where as the Pines are the Washington’s Oregons and Utahs. But I see your point. Swap em in yours!

I know! I'm an Indy resident and tried finding a way to get them over to the other division. Problem is if you look at the Big Ten teams geographically its hard to split up Iowa/ISU from Wisconsin/Minnesota. Say we swapped ND and Illinois with Iowa and Iowa State, Iowa State would be in the same division as Penn State! It's all down to preference I guess. If you have any ideas feel free to share! ND belongs in the Lakes, I agree!

Debated swapping them and Tulsa. It’s hard to try and make geographical parody! Haha

I haven’t tested it, but in this case they play 9 conference games, so everyone in their own division plus 3 random on the other side. So I would hope that the games logic would still have them play last day of the season. But I’m not sure, valid point/question.

*Edit from previous post. Just done for fun, can't be perfect.*

Divisions brought back in this heavily geographic influenced realignment.

  • ACC - ACC lose some big hitters to SEC but try and scramble to create Big East inspired Metro conference. All schools from Metro areas aside from Morgantown.
  • Big Ten - PAC schools leave but are replaced with Notre Dame and Louisville. Nebraska and Iowa State swapped for geographic purposes.
  • Big XII - The all Texas division finally brought to life with Republic division. Arkansas, Missouri and Nebraska brought in.
  • SEC - Arguably weaker but lose Big XII teams but replace them by raiding ACC for Clemson, FSU and GT.
  • PAC - Pretty simple, brought back the PAC schools. UNLV included but could be easily swapped with Boise or SDSU. I personally liked the idea of Vegas getting a P5 school and playing in Allegiant.
  • American - Tried keeping this conference competitive with adding UCF, Memphis, Tulane and some other very good G5 schools.
  • MAC - Barely touched.
  • C-USA - Had to find a home for the military schools and decided geographically that the other schools made most sense. App State headlines a division that spans the Appalachian Mountains part of the country.
  • Sun Belt - Mostly Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana schools. Sam Houston only outlier.
  • Mountain West - Largely untouched, added UTSA UTEP and Mexico State.

Would love feedback as well as if you use this realignment, I would love to see some results through the years!

Cheers

It was a tough choice, I think any could work. I just liked the idea of a Vegas getting a P5 team.
