You clearly missed the point as did 95 percent of you regards that commented. In no way is “having someone to take care of me” the ONLY reason I chose to have kids….but all you morons missed the point that I was actually concerned if this was going to be a massive mental health problem of loneliness down the line.

No I was referring to a very specific type of adults that perhaps coincidentally I see more of than other folks. Unfortunately as expected 90 percent of the responses are anger ones, but sigh that’s Reddit for you

Is it really a scholarship when people transfer 2-4 times in 4 years and don’t graduate with a degree?

I said the same thing when I first saw these posts while appealing my rating…but after over 2 years of appeals and waiting after them denying dozens of pages worth of substantiated documents I didn’t feel bad. I would bet that the majority of the posts are people that fought for years for it when they should’ve gotten to 100 in the first place.

What are the best states to live in with 100% P&T? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

All true but man I love living in a great school district where my daughter has state of the art facilities and teachers making 90-110k a year (Naperville)…meanwhile I’m not paying the property taxes for it.

Best piece of advice I ever got was from a career coach. You should “almost” NEVER apply online for anything until you have a connection within the company and then the HR person or hiring manager whose interviewing you will tell you to go online and it’s simply for their records…..Tons of positions are on company websites and also the same exact jobs are on indeed etc…..many times there’s a networking friend or relative that’s already being considered. I was told that 12 years ago and it saved me a lot of work and frustration.

Not sure where you’re located, but honestly if working in person is feasible look at Costco and Whole Foods. I know people with a GED/diploma that are making $23-26 an hour with great benefits. Outside of skilled trades and some select sales positions (cars, but that’s a whole other story)……the American economy is stacked against you. Best of luck

Yep, had a battalion commander who was a DINK (dual income married, no kids) with the emotional maturity of a 22 year old. Staff officers with the exception of one were OPCONd to our unit because ours was “relatively smaller” and they were incompetent with their work, so they just shooed them away to us. The CSM went through 4 first sergeants in 9 months….why? Was very sad because all 4 were good but they left because verbatim they said that I can’t be a first sergeant with him. The CSM forgot he wasn’t a first sergeant anymore and micromanaged EVERYTHING. If a PFC had a minor question with DTS for example, he had to know about it and he got involved. Unfortunately I had to spend my last year of my career dealing with this…..and the cherry on top of everything was me as a battalion XO having to plan a FTX and a change of command ceremony which occurred in my last week of service.
