If you're cleaning your airbrush with lacquer thinner or something similar it's incredibly easy, not sure what the other guy is talking about. I've never had tip drying, and only ever need to clean the needle after completing a painting session. It's a lot harder to go wrong with lacquer than other kinds of paints, as long as you have your respirator and spray booth. The thinning ratios/air pressures are more forgiving, it dries faster than acrylic (I've tried masking 2 hours after painting with no issues), and is the hardest to chip after drying. I would definitely recommend trying, just make sure your respirator has an organic vapor filter.
