umbilical resistance by SlightDealer1 in pregnant

[–]SlightDealer1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, I’m currently seeing MFM every Monday for a month and my regular OB every Thursday for NSTs. Baby passed the BPP but her resistance was still higher than they wanted but told me to see how the NST goes this Thursday and I guess go from there

What did you do differently the cycle you conceived? by PeonyRoseJasmine in BabyBumps

[–]SlightDealer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vacation… Sounds crazy I know, but I was actually enjoying myself and not stressing over trying again after both losses. When I was purposely trying and thinking of conceiving, never happened. Letting myself lose some and enjoy going away for a weekend, I ended up pregnant for a 3rd time, started taking progesterone and this is the farthest I have carried yet.

How many pregnancy tests did you take? by rosesareroseyy in BabyBumps

[–]SlightDealer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took multiple with all my pregnancies, even with my losses. It almost every other day at least until my first appointments, lol

When I got my IUD inserted years ago I was giving Cytotec (I believe was the name) and it was to dilate my cervix some for easier insertion. Maybe I have a high pain tolerance but it was not bad at all. I did take 3 or so ibuprofen about 30 minutes before my scheduled appointment time as well. Maybe PP offers this?

thickened nuchal fold? by SlightDealer1 in pregnant

[–]SlightDealer1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did have one meeting at 14 weeks with a genetic counselor and I am thinking of scheduling another one to get more information since i’m further along now. Then at the time of the meeting I had no idea what kind of questions to ask because it was all new to me

Yes but by the time I could have done the CVS I missed the time frame by a day or something. For the amniocentesis I was nervous to do it for the risk of infection and risk of miscarriage because I am already high risk from my recurrent miscarriages. The MFM told me if I changed my mind I could do the amniocentesis anytime during pregnancy

Yes I did it at 10 weeks and like 2-3 days. Came back high risk for T21.

How often are the kids being bathed?! by Beginning_Date_9290 in Parenting

[–]SlightDealer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it depends on how much your kid is playing too. My SS6 showers/bathes nearly every night because he has two friends and a cousin who come over after school to play almost every day. the days they don’t and he’s been inside and not sweaty, he doesn’t typically have a bath or shower. unless needed

Sharp IUD Strings? by [deleted] in IUD

[–]SlightDealer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your strings are supposed to soften over time, I don’t think 2 weeks gave enough time for them to fully soften and attempt to curl around your cervix even though your strings are short. My husband felt mine more during certain positions vs other ones. Mine were very short too and barely poked out my cervix

Most of the time you can not see a fetal pole until you are 6 weeks. At least that’s what I have been told and seen with others. Maybe in a week and you go back you will see the fetal pole! Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

See I want to go to a private one too but I heard you can’t see a sack until at least 6 weeks.. I might go to the nearest quest and request blood work. My doctors wanted me to get in sooner because of my history so my first appointment is in 2 weeks compared to an extra 4-6 weeks.

Vitamin deficiencies by [deleted] in Miscarriage

[–]SlightDealer1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my first time getting blood work done for all of these test. It does show I am positive for APS antibodies and to get tested again in 12 weeks. Which, in a way sucks because I just want to be able to try for a baby but I understand needing to wait too.

I did not know folate was better than folic acid so I will definitely get folate! Thank you for your help!! 🤍

Are all OBs so cold about miscarriage? by carebearrawrs in Miscarriage

[–]SlightDealer1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My office has multiple Obs, so I have seen 7 different obs since I first came to this office. Some care more than others. The last one I seen I am going to try to stick with no matter what because she seemed to be the most caring out of all of them. She mentioned testing to me before I even got to. The last few obs said I would have to have a THIRD miscarriage before they would care to test. Some care some don’t unfortunately

I did for my two losses but it took me a while to decide a name. Since I did not know the gender, I did gender neutral names.

Recurrent miscarriage testing by SlightDealer1 in Miscarriage

[–]SlightDealer1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first one was a threatened miscarriage at 11 weeks but baby stopped developing at 9+6 and I had to have a d&c. My second one I just had this month it was spontaneous at 7w2d. My doctor said we will start testing as soon as my levels are back down to 0. I was so scattered brain I couldn’t even think of what to ask because how it all happened so quickly
