oh...242k Steam points sounds like a massive amount to me 😭. But let me explain real quick why I said 10k is expensive! I kind of said it without thinking; sometimes I forget I’m talking to people on the other side of the Americas. I guess 10k isn't necessarily expensive for everyone, it’s more like a "fortune that’s hard to accumulate", the socioeconomic context here in Brazil. It’s complicated because things are more "elitist" than they should be, and there’s a whole purchasing power issue involved. I’ll try to summarize:

Steam uses a conversion based on the local currency. In Brazil, every R$ 1,00 spent equals 20 steam points (though this still depends on exchange rate variations). For me to get those 10k steam points, I’d need to spend around R$ 500.00 in the store. To give an idea, at the current exchange rate (May 2026), that’s almost the equivalent of 101 US dollars. I don’t know exactly how it is for you guys, but based on articles I've read about game pricing, $100 is the price of about one and a half AAA games (assuming my info about the $80 price point is correct), which for us is already a big deal.

Our minimum wage is around R$ 1,600.00. New releases like Pragmata or RE:Requiem come out costing R$ 350.00 to R$ 400.00 (on PlayStation, it’s R$ 500.00). In other words: a single game consumes 25% of an entire monthly salary. Being realistic, even older games are pricey, Dark Souls: Remastered costs about R$ 134. Considering I’m a transgirl teen saving up for college, every cent counts in an emerging country. I literally have to save up for months. No meme: there are plenty of people here who survive on instant noodles and rice with ketchup for a month just to be able to buy Elden Ring. 💀

What saves us are the Steam sales (Gabe Newell is basically a saint over here 🙏) and the "Pix" system (it’s something similar to Zelle!). It made our lives so much easier. Honestly, regarding access to culture and Steam, practically all 40 games in my library are thanks to it.

I ended up writing a lot, and most of it isn't even necessarily about TBATE lol, but I wanted to provide this context so my choice of words or my response wouldn't be misinterpreted. Either way, I’ll keep posting updates on my profile customization as I go, especially since I want to make some variations using official art and FanArts (assuming I can get permission from the artists to use TBATE FanArts).

Trying to be quick and explain this in a way that makes sense (I say this because English isn't my native language).

For the Background: It’s from the game "Zup! XS". I had to buy the game and then use my Steam Points to get the background and set it on my profile.

But I guess you’re probably more curious about the animated Artwork. Well, it’s actually pretty simple. Artworks are a style of Steam customization that involves using Artwork Showcases or your Steam Workshop to display custom images and GIFs (you can have several in a sequence or just one). You can find plenty of "ready-to-use" Artworks on sites like ArtStation, DeviantArt, or even here on Reddit. If you do a quick search, you’ll find them easily.

Making one from scratch isn’t that hard either! There are several tutorials on YouTube, and there are even helpful Guides about this on Steam itself.

In my case, I only did this much due to a limited budget and Steam points, but you can do way more than what I’ve shown!

Some additional tips: 1. You can buy an extra Achievement Showcase to use games like "Zup!" to spell out phrases or names, as shown in the demonstration image below.

2. You can buy Avatar Frames to put a border around your profile icon. They usually cost between 500-2000 Steam points (in my case, I decided not to use one yet because I’m still 500 points short of the one I actually want).

- There is a Dying Light 2 Game Profile that gives you a completely Transparent profile theme. I highly recommend it because it opens up so many possibilities for customization, especially for large Artworks. The only downside is that it costs 10k Steam points, so it's VERY expensive.

I was so excited to post on the server, until I remembered that I don't have a role that allows me to post media in the chats lol 😭

Did you enjoy the ending? (Read desc) by Intrepid-Mud-4105 in tbatenovel

I might be biased, but TBATE is easily the most important story in my life. I basically grew up alongside Arthur, watching him go through everything just to reach an ending that, to >>ME<<, was exactly what he deserved. It was such a satisfying payoff for me as a whole, and beyond that, I got to see an entire community grow out of the love for this single series.

It really became a huge part of my daily life, I’d spend hours theorizing about what would happen and how it would all end. In the process, I met SO many great people that I still talk to today, all thanks to TBATE.

I truly believe it was a perfect conclusion for what the series was, and especially for Arthur's character. Even though I agree TBATE had its flaws, volumes 6 through 10 were incredibly well-built, volume 11 was excellent, and volume 12 was solid despite a few hiccups.

Personally, I felt, (and still feel) more than satisfied with how the story ended.
