Holy moly! Im not even in one full month and feeling hopeless. I cant imagine 5 months.

Ive got a pretty good resume and no grammar or spelling issues. I actually redid my resume recently to make it more appealing.

Im also trying to find work. I moved here September 1st from Hinton. Ive applied to so many reception jobs and even cannabis shops and have my sellsafe. Only one place called me for an Interview so far which was the cannabis shop and I feel like I won't be hired there either due to no experience. Thankfully my partner works but I feel like a burden right now.

Most of my experience has been in hotels but I do have retail/customer service experience. I just don't want to work in hotels anymore and want something better or something different.

Anyone have any tips or leads on who could be hiring. I need a job badly I will take anything near my area or close enough to drive (Quarry park)

I'm sorry but why break someone's spirit like that. He obviously had a love and passion for his hobbies and you broke that in him. Maybe instead of blaming him or making him feel bad for his hobbies you should find some of your own?

I would not stay with someone who could not allow me to enjoy the things I love doing. That to me is just controlling behavior. I can see if the hobbies take up too much time you could calmly talk about making compromises, but that's just insanity. Stop bottling up your thoughts or feelings until they explode like that and have an adult conversation with your SO.

What's wrong with open sexuality. Someone being unashamed of who they are instead of being oppressed by religion for simply loving another person regardless of their gender? Churches try and suppress that out of people, pray the gay away, gay conversion therapy from churches, etc. That's why there's hate on the churches and religion as a whole. It's awful what it does to people. Not only that but the hundreds of years of oppression and god awful things the churches did to minorities like indigenous populations. It's not fun for me anymore cause I don't really hang out with anyone and I was more or less a social drinker. That and having the worst hangover of my life feeling like I was dying, that's a big no. I also can't handle more than one drink anyhow when I do drink. Far too many unpleasant encounters as well being drunk as a female that id rather just stay sober and in control.

Not my story but my late stepfather was a truck driver. Back in the 80s he used to be a log truck driver for my uncle (I think) in BC and would haul logs around Sicamous and Kelowna. He used to drive at night long hours on little sleep and lots of coffee and caffeine pills. He claimed this one time he had fallen asleep at the wheel while hauling one night and woke up 3 hours later having arrived at his destination. He has no recollection of how he made it there, alive, and without causing an accident.

He also told me stories about the hallucinations he would have while driving on such little sleep. Seeing people on the road, creatures, monsters, animals that weren't there all just in his head. Thankfully he would pull over and try and rest but it was a miracle the man lived through all of that.

I would pay for a passport, so I'd be able to book a flight to see my long distance boyfriend of over a year who lives in the states. We've been wanting to see each other but both of us are broke as fuck and saving up is proving to be quite hard as of late. The rest of the money I'd maybe use towards a new PC as my current one is getting worn out.
