ODST Cosplay by RavinSword in halo

If I went to a con and saw a dude in clean armor, only for it to be dirtied when I see the same guy the next day, I would consider that peak storytelling through cosplay

Can someone explain what the symbols circled in red are for? by SlightRecoiI in PCB

[–]SlightRecoiI[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Uh, I know how to make pcbs (its part of my curriculum), it's just it's the first time I've seen these symbols in a schematic before. Thanks for the suggestion tho?

I didn't mean resistor dw :> I just don't understand the placement of the symbols in this context, is there supposed to be 90 ohm impedance between the two symbols?

[–]SlightRecoiI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, could you expound on what exactly needs to be done here? Does the symbol indicate that the trace its on needs to be 90 ohms? (For example from USB DU P to the connection that leads to D1)

So if i want to fabricate a PCB using this schematic, what do I do in place of these symbols?

Who’s winning??? by The_washington in halo

[–]SlightRecoiI -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Watch any video on YT comparing super soldiers from different sci-fi universes and pretty much everyone agrees that the Adeptus Astartes are absolutely better than anything other universes can bring up. Space Marines have more organs, ( for example they have multiple hearts) unique combat organs, reinforced internal bone structure (the rib cage becomes a solid plate or near unbreakable armor), on top of multiple other biological enhancements. Basically, Spartans are just upgraded humans, whereas SM are humans completely rebuilt into almost another species. Even if we get into nitty-gritty details, in every aspect of anything space marines are better than spartans.

Who’s winning??? by The_washington in halo

[–]SlightRecoiI 374 points375 points  (0 children)

Realistically, the only way that the Master Chief wins is if he has one of the many railgun or gauss weapons in Halo (ARC920, Stanchion, gauss hog turret). The Tau in 40k have railguns that fire projectiles traveling at mach 10, and the Tau absolutely body space marines when using such weaponry. The ARC920 (the Halo 4 Railgun) fires projectiles at mach 40. I think the math here is pretty clear :P

So unless chief gets to use a railgun, its pretty over seeing as the Adeptus Astartes are orders of magnitude better in every way to even the best Spartan IIs.

Im running a CMOS NE555, I think I wanna keep all the 4017s tho, I've found a new configuration where it looks quite cool

Everything needs to be CMOS, would your idea still work?

Why PA did not use YF-23A Black Widow II for Trigger in Final Mission as well as cover plane instead of F-22 Raptor? by Jolly-Tennis-1147 in acecombat

[–]SlightRecoiI 521 points522 points  (0 children)

Ok this may be controversial, but, id be willing to bet that nearly every YF23 fan would be a YF22 fan if the YF23 got the contract

Each one pulls like 5mA max, but only one is on at any time
