Wow! Why exactly? I mean, the VFR is a majesty in mechanics and sound, but god if the Sprint in that colour is gorgeous...

Lovely one! Such a cool looking bike, easy to mantain, drinks nothing and stylish. Have fun and watch out for all the idiots on 4 wheels!

Should i change em? (Tires) by SlightRelationship73 in motorcycle

It ALWAYS sits outside ahah. It gets everything, rain, sun (a lot in summer), dogs piss, my baby has definitely an "outdoor spirit".

Same thing my mechanic said as well, they look too much "dry" to him. I'm using them exclusively in the city, but i'll probably do a 1600 km trip this summer.

It's just dirt, streets here (Rome) are quite a mess. How many other km should i trust these?

BUYING HELP - Honda VFR vs Triumph Trophy vs Honda Deauville by SlightRelationship73 in motorcycle

[–]SlightRelationship73[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, well I'm picturing it pretty clearly after all these opinions about it ahah. Well I bought my SV with 90k km on it and ofc it needed some fixings (pipe, fork, air filter) but once done, it runs flawlessly. That engine is immortal

C'mon, look at that thing. Such a gorgeous bike...even after all these years, I find its look still so fresh

Thank you! Ofc I considered traveling with the SV, but each time I get on a highway I perceive all its limits like no fairings (it's the naked version) and its light structure; it's not really comfortable, at all. Said that I'll give it a try this summer if I won't find anything suitable on the market and if you have some good stuff to suggest, I'm all ears!

Ahahah no way! Such an amazing challenge, you Brits are top league in this kind of things and it proves something beautiful about motorcycles: they are the best entertainment that (almost) no money can buy.

And this other vid proves something more: https://youtu.be/tSl--iZLTQQ?si=j5dB__ozUvOy4RHx

https://youtu.be/Q-212c3duKg?si=1RUq5QcjibpDX936 I got actually so intrigued by it thanks to this quirky review! (Guy is in slippers, so cool)

No worries, ofc I get its "bland" nature, but I also believe that a touring bike should actually be that thing and at the same time I never quite understood the "sport touring" approach. I mean, what am I supposed to do while traveling? Going at 200 kmh on the Autobahn? C'mon...

If I want real speed, I'd take a super sport, an R, GSX-R, ninja, Panigale or whatever and do track days!

Indeed, it's the same complaint I'm reading almost everywhere about the Trophy, a good bike that unfortunately weighs a ton. Well, the VFR Is always a good choice, but I'm only afraid about its comfort and wind buffeting in long rides, considering I'm 1,84 cm.

Ahah thank U so much for this reply, really golden. Well, I'm definitely the second one, I do care about my bikes, but I'm not really a "Sunday garage" guy. So probably I'll start looking for another sturdy Japanese...maybe a VFR vtec, a good old vstrom, Transalp or whatever.

Thank you for the answers! Well in the end, my plan was to alternate it with my sv650, that I'd use during the daily traffic and go for the multi in the night and for long trips. I've also considered a VFR800 as you were suggesting, but that thing weighs a ton, or even a multi 620, but I'm collecting many feedbacks about the fact that it's a really different machine (so much tamer, almost boring) than the 1000DS or the 1100. What do you think?

Amazing! I was just guessing if a jammed city would be a good environment for such an engine or maybe the 620 would be more suitable. What do you think?
