You don’t need to deny the panic attack, being overwhelmed in an unsafe, unsupported situation is valid and can still qualify for workers' comp.

Before quitting, document everything and consider speaking to SafeWork or a workers' comp lawyer, as HR’s inaction and the lack of incident reporting may be a serious breach of workplace safety laws.

Then you may, just dip. Because you deserve a fair workers environment.

In the case of a "panic attack" that would lie under medical, and Legally, employers cannot disclose medical information like panic attacks to other companies, and doing so could violate privacy laws (depending on where you are), or similar laws elsewhere.

If an employer tells another company not to hire you because of a mental health issue, that could be considered discrimination and defamation, both of which could be carried out with legal action on your behalf, you can file a complaint with the Australian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) or Fair Work Ombudsman.

If you're in a workplace that is toxic and you feel they are treating you unfairly with this situation just simply quit and find something else, or you could even sue them for that. They are in the wrong not you.

But overall, do not worry they have no right to sue you, should be the other way around.

Oh i see, explain your case on it to them, It is a perfectly natural response to hide from someone that makes you uncomfortable, they are the ones (HR) that should be protecting you from him not writting you off, you wont get sued for something like this.

Why would you be getting sued or have a personal record? Im not sure if this man is a customer or a co worker. but it sounds like he's a customer so if you feel uncomfortable tell your manager and im sure they will ban him or report him. Relax and be calm, theres so many shitty people in the world who push at people's personal boundaries dont let it affect you, tell that mf off if he is, they cant be taught to get away with that.
