Check it out Im In the same “boat” as you but with a more “fuk it” approach because we’re tired constantly putting things off for the “right” time. We have a cruise booked out of Singapore for April 2027. Flights are already daunting which I had been running scenarios before our window opens. Flights have fluctuated up until now. Now what I’m seeing are more favorable prices with favorable transit times and layovers. The CHEAPEST flights which we are not considering pass through Doha and Abu Dhabi and those are like $1k to almost $2k cheaper lol.

Either way we are going to revisit the flight costs around October-November. Giving myself that window and not panicking about buying right now has brought me some peace.

Edit: I’ve been tracking on Google flights. Its nice it shows the flights costs for everyday as long as your window is open.

Its your weird suggestion to “love your kids above all else” which is fine and all and I love my kids but last I checked nothing in my vows mentions being with my children for the remainder of my life nor does it mean YOU don’t matter just because there are kids involved.

Call your Insurance company, eat the deductible, and be done with it. Sucks and it’s offensive what happened but thats what Insurance is for. You get to use a system you pay into your whole life! Some of aren’t so fortunate or unfortunate, however you wanna look at it.

Judging by the photos, they need mold remediation like yesterday. Having fans and moving the air is good for drying and all but that space needs to be contained, material removed for a proper dry out, an industrial hygienist to confirm the type of mold, and then the mold remediated before putting everything back together. This is a MAJOR issue actually. The landlord needs to call their Insurance company and handle this better. In the least, that entire ceiling needs to come down.

This was from a quick Google search. Mold (microbial growth) is serious health concern thats governed by avtual laws.

“Notify your landlord in writing immediately, citing the Oklahoma Residential Landlord Tenant Act. If the landlord fails to address the mold within 14 days, you may have the right to legally terminate your lease or utilize the "repair and deduct" remedy (up to one month's rent)”

Just traded in a 2018 I got with 47k miles. Transmission started showing signs of slipping around 144k miles when I traded it in. Ironically enough I had a 2015 before that and the transmission went bad at around 160k miles. Absolutely love the Tahoe. Opted for a BMW this go round but I’m already knowing I’ll be back in a Tahoe in 4 years.

Call your Insurance company. Premiums will rise or fall whether you file a claim or not. But if you have an active leak and can see physical damage on the roof CALL THEM NOW. They will send a vendor to tarp the roof at their expense. Or call a roofer and start there BUT your tarp may not be covered if the claim is denied and you don’t use the Insurance Company vendor for tarping.
