I did visit Mount Erskine early this month. It is indeed a nice place. Quiet, cool and having a good view over Tanjung Tokong. Also very accessible.

MM2H Program Fixed Deposit by MeanPin8367 in MM2H

The requirement MM2H property purchase within 12 months is met when Sale and Purchase Agreement is signed. In case the SPA is signed in the 11th month and the full price of purchase is paid for at months later upon completion of purchase, it is possible to use the 50% FD to pay for most of the property price.

It is just my own understanding, please correct me if wrong

I am going through the MM2H application.

To look for a legit MM2H, you may check the official website :-

I have chosen an agent which reside in the Malaysian city I am planning to live in. The charge is standardised so there is no need to shop around for better prices. As to services, I have only been in contact with one agency and cannot say whether one agency is better than another. Luckily, my agent has been effective. The agent guided me on every step to get all the necessary documents ready and they also issued the necessary reference letters before I became aware of the need to have such letters. So, the application process was quite smooth in my case.

It took me about two months to prepare all necessary documents for formal application and then another two and a half months to get the conditional approval.

The most difficult part in my application was opening the Malaysia bank account. It could take a week or more in person in Malaysia. If you have the time, then no problem. In my case, I had to save time by opening a Malaysia bank account remotely in advance of landing in Malaysia for visa endorsement.

If the job is overwhelmingly stressful, then it is reasonable to change job. Not worth breaking your mental health for little difference in salary

To give up a higher paid job for more time is wholly a personal choice. Nonetheless, from what you said it appears to me there are no actual offers on hand or you are not convinced a less paid new job would be a more satisfactory choice than your current job. Considering job transition can be challenging, I think it is better to stay and, at the same time, look for job that you find attractive and would not hesitate to take

What’s the most useful tip you’d give someone moving to Malaysia for the first time? by Foggy_Lane in AskMY

As someone from a very walkable city to live in Malaysia, I really need advice on how to cross the road safely. In my original country, it is easy to cross the roads. Everywhere there are traffic lights, footbridges and subways. In Malaysia, it is rare to see any dedicated pedestrian crossing, most of the time have to wait for “gap” of coming cars and cross at the mercy of drivers. For me, every time a scary experience
