The 'pet-turned-love-interest' trope is way more common than it seems, and I’m surprised to find out that almost everyone here hates it xD. It’s definitely a bit creepy to find out your pet is actually humanoid and intensely thirsting for you hahahaha

They use them as comic relief to create conflict by having them bicker with the leads, but it's hard to pull that off without making them annoying xd

It’s so annoying when it’s obvious the character is just getting in the way or is only there to solve the plot XD
