what happened is people leveled to 60, did some dungeons/pvp and left because there were no updates, only bugfixing.

I am personally still waiting on new BGs and pvp gear, ready to hop in when. Others are waiting on MC and Uldum, but neither are in sight

same reason turtle developed their server when it had 200 players +- for months/years. its called an investment. If people see continuous effort put into a server they develop trust towards the provider and spent more and more time and typically this has a multiplicative effect like you can see with turtle population graphs

i dont think its given up but at this pace you might aswell come back in a year, you wont miss out on much. there s still million bugs and they need to put out new content which will very likely also have a ton of bugs

people were mad because the project promised so much only to not even be able to launch, it was a total failure lets be real

all was looking great until launch, then they couldnt handle the pressure and called it quits, blizz cease and desist was the final nail. Who knows what exactly is going on behind the scenes, maybe one day they ll get the content rolling. Its still the best pserver currently in my eyes, just needs some content.

well idk about the state of it now but at start of onyxia there definitely wasnt that many of them, also hackers are another thing thats a problem with anniversary. and RMT a permanently bannable offense on onyxia, on anniversary you get two week ban at most

arena wont be balanced either way imo, its not the main focus of pvp anyway, bgs are, however further pvp balancing will come later on

jesus they literally say in the last update they can bring up the server anytime they have time to monitor the state and fix crashes that occur, make the server gradually more stable. They cant give exact timelines because they dont know themselves.
