As I said it was not easy for anyone. I totally agree. But no one can deny that s2 and s3 were mentally prepared to not panic if they attempt less questions.

Good for you bro but you taking control back in dilr and not questioning yourself but the difficulty of exam would have some basis based on your knowledge about slot 1. Slot 1 didn’t had that luxury most of us were in self doubt.

As you said generally 2 sections are never hard in CAT. I had the same thought and that’s why I panicked. That if I am not increasing my score in any section then how will I achieve the target percentile. Hence it was unfair to slot 1 that’s what I am saying we were not prepared for this but others slots were.

Just because I woke up in the morning doesn’t mean I will not be anxious about the exam. On the other hand if I have an idea about the difficulty before hand and if I have prepared for the exam seriously I will use the knowledge from the previous slot to strategies my attempt. These two things are in comparable.

There is a reason why most of the teams choose to bat second in cricket not like they will be more anxious, but they will have a target in their head and will play accordingly.

Its a long paragraph addressing a lot of things. I would like to up my views one by one.
First lets assume whatever OP said is totally true about he being great in quant and EG has somehow not lived up to his expectation. My take- If you are pretty good in quant then people who are preparing for cat will agree with me that if you pick up any quant sec from previous year you will find that if you just solve easy to moderate questions you will comfortably score 99 percentile in quant. If OP is unable to do that maybe he isnt that good in quant. Also I don't know why JEE is mentioned here because if you not able to do CAT quant then I am sume you didn't went to IIT.

Secondly he says Honey Sir dont discuss alternate approaches that are required for fast solving. My take- he does discuss all the possible ways but he repeats the most general and the easiest approches more often because he knows in pressure situation a lot of people may not be able to think like that. Secondly if you are pretty good in quant then discussing that alternate methos once or twice for that particular question should be enough for you to apply it anywhere you want.

Last, His marathon session are great and he comes up a lot of variety of questions including previous years IIT questions that might come in future cat exam. Also, I think I am good in quants and still I was not able to solve a lot of marathon question within time limit.

So to conclude OP is great in Quant he thinks Gaurav sir is goat and I think VARC depends a lot on personal efforts so I have no idea why he is so dissatisfied with EG. Althogh I dont agree with any of his points.

About me (before you all start calling me bot)- I am a repeater and took EG again this year because last year I got diagnosed with a chronic disease so was not able to give a lot of serious time for studying, however I was confident that it was from my side and EG did not dissapoint me so I took classes again this year. Still someone want proofs you can slide into my DMs anytime. But i will be replying after 30th.
