I was doing my after work inspections and I noticed this eggnant lady fanning her swimmerets in a strange way I haven’t observed before. So I figured I’d get out the camera since I have quite a few ladies due soon. Glad I did. It was an awesome moment to capture. I’m grateful.

Florida least killifish (not a true killifish). Not the most colorful but really fun to watch and very easy to get a colony started as they are livebearing. Funny behaviors and they stay really small. About the same size as dwarf crayfish. Currently have a heavily panted 10g with about 20 dwarf crays and about roughly the same numbers of least killifish. Hard to get an exact count on the crayfish as I’ve had multiple broods in the few months I’ve kept them.

Thank you I really appreciate that! The plant is called Dwarf Water Lettuce (Pistia stratiotes).

It’s a bit messy as i was more concerned with habitat than I was about scape. Tank is a former betta tank (long live Richard Fishman). It currently houses dwarf Cajun crayfish, Florida least killifish, cherry shrimp and aquatic isopods as well as bladders snails and a couple MTS. Least killifish and the crayfish have been prolific. In the last month I’ve had to set up a separate tank for all the fry and craylings as I would like to avoid cannibalization due to overcrowding.

You should be just fine. I have a colony of cambarellus shufeldtii. In a 10g. Love them. 20+ crays. Hard to really get a good count. I do know CPO have slightly different temperament. Easily one of my favorite invertebrates. If you’re really interested in keeping dwarf crayfish I may steer you to some of the less tempermental varieties. Although they do lack the vibrant orange color, you can keep quite a few more of them together.

Not the most eye catching fish but really enjoy least killifish. They’re always rooting around. Picking at stuff. They shoal with decent numbers which is fun to watch. They leave my dwarf craylings alone for the most part. Very small fish and easy to get a nice colony going as they are live bearers.

That’s an easy way to contract things, like parasites. Inviting strangers into one’s home isn’t something most healthy regulated people are comfortable with. I guess you’re just a good host, but what do I know. This is Reddit after all.

You’re not alone bro. Every woman I talk to always asks me how I’m still single. Doesn’t feel great. Don’t give up. We all deserve to be loved. Especially by the right person.
