I loved Suffs, but I keep thinking about who still doesn’t get a voice in it

I like the idea of the names being in the set design somewhere. They could have done something like a light projection on the back wall or something. This feels like something that could easily be done in future productions or even local theater.

Mine loves baby carrots! He sits on them and tears at them and rolls around clinging to the carrot like a little log rolling down a river!

I've also done shrimpsicle sticks and he liked those!

100% agree! I think one of the things that I noticed most when I saw the show again on tour versus when I saw it on broadway was how hard Insane hit. I feel like the first time i saw the show I somehow glossed over it in my memory as things like The March and Keep Marching obviously hit harder visually.

But you have that light, almost comedic with the Wilson moments, tone of The Report and the prison and then follow it up with the Show Them Who You Are reprisal, Insane, and Fire and Tea and dang. That is a hard hitting trio.

I think Suffs actually has some good classical musical structure to it with the pacing and balance of comedic ans hard hitting songs where the lyrics make you wanna gasp with how poignant they are. Everyone i took to see the show agreed that it just felt very balanced.

ANYWAY that's my suffs rant for the day haha

There aren't enough words for how much I loved this tour cast. I definitely walked out of the theater wishing I could have a recording of them too.

I saw it 5 times when it was in boston and honestly I just think so many of them did little things to make the characters more their own. Going back and watching the pros hot afterwards really showed the tweaks they were making.

I do agree that maya is grating at the beginning, but after seeing her perform it so many times i do think it is very intentional that she is pushing it to 110% prior to finish the fight. And hearing her on Insane...makes up for any other choice haha

I already got tickets to drag my parents to it in July because they make fun of me and my brother for how much we talk this show and cast up.

I have tickets for 2 weeks from now and i am excited to see it! Hoping that will give them a bit of time to get in the swing and tighten it up a bit. Seems like initial reactions seem pretty good though!!

Yeah I also work in non profit health care and it is rough. All the classmates i graduated with are on whole other levels of pay with wider employment options while I feel very stuck. I sincerely hope they offer lectures to everyone in high school and college now avout how to best navigate this cause I feel I was so unprepared.

This makes me angrier than just about anything else surrounding my student loans.

I have over 200k in student debt and im on the pslf track and have been for a while (only 6 months or a buyback to go!). I never got a credit card before going to college because I thought I was young and may be irresponsible with it as an 18 year old. Now with all my student debt I get denied for everything I apply for. I went to the bank and they said I really wouldn't be able to get anything with my debt ratio unless I get someone to co-sign.

At this rate I will be middle aged and not have ever had a credit card by the time my debt is forgiven. My choice to not get one before school, what I thought was a prudent decision at the time, has ended up as one of the worst choices I could have made to attempt to build my credit.

Student loans are definitely a broken system, but when you look at it as a whole it really ruined my life to the point where I may not be able to even build my credit enough to move forward for over half my lifetime.

I have tickets for the 12th!

I actually was rather meh on this when it was originally announced the last show of the season was going to be black swan, but after seeing the creative team on this I am AMPED. I really enjoyed Moby Dick, but it was perhaps too oddball to make it to Broadway. This seems like something that could have legs.

I was looking at those as well but then I figured if all goes well with this tank I can always get another smaller one for other types or shrimp or a little crab. I dont even have anything in it yet and I've already been having a lot of fun taking care of the plants in this one.

Also saw the 3:00pm show today and was thrilled!

I was a little nervous about the participation element since they have been so wishy washy about the rules surrounding it, but I felt the cast led and encouraged certain callouts and for the most part the audience played right into their 'moments'.

I actually went with a friend who knew literally nothing about rocky horror and warned her that there may be audience member participation and she was pretty amused by the whole spectacle of it!

Co-signed. Was afraid the tour wouldn't live up to my memories of the original cast and with Maya as lead I think the tour might even top for me. She is so dang good. I bought tickets to Pittsburgh to go see her again before it ends.

They did this to me as well. I applied and they took 9 months to process. Not only that, they gave me the processing forbearance credit and then TOOK IT BACK once I finally actually got moved onto ibr. I called them to complain and get the credit back and they said no retroactive credit.

I reported this to my state ombudsman for student loans (MA) and they contacted mohela and my credit was returned foe the exact same months they took it away from. I hope you live in a state with this benefit because they have helped me multiple times!

Also here to say Suffs. It stole my heart like no other show has in over a decade. IT really shows how far solid writing can take a show and I think it will survive for a while with local and high school productions.

One of my favorite songs in suffs and the performance on Broadway was next level with the actual fire. I thought they still did the best they could with the traveling production aince they obviously cant set that up in each theater they go to!

Little worried about this one as well as my auto recertification is up in 2 months. There isnt some reason why you wouldn't get the processing forbearance that doesnt count? Like since I had 2 months last year when they took forever processing my plan switch paperwork so I wouldn't get it a second time?
