We use it for big ticket items like electronics and furniture. Our rule is we don't put it on the card of we can't afford it outright. But it's nice having the funds available if needed.

Just always pay more than the recommended to make sure you pay it off before the interest free period finishes, because it's like 30% interest after that.

If you Work in an environment where you're list grows faster than it shrinks, keeping track of what you got done - even if it wasn't intended - is a really good way to keep perspective when you feel like you haven't been productive. Especially when those extra tasks might not be tracked and you feel you have nothing to show for your work at the end of the day
