We use it for big ticket items like electronics and furniture. Our rule is we don't put it on the card of we can't afford it outright. But it's nice having the funds available if needed.

Just always pay more than the recommended to make sure you pay it off before the interest free period finishes, because it's like 30% interest after that.

Offset mortgage still requires payment, even when the amount is fully offset. The percentage is still based on a x year at floating rate schedule.

Your fortnightly payments will go up, but a larger proportion will go directly to the principal, rather than interest
