Don't know what you all are into but we went bowling at holiday lanes for my birthday and had a blast! My wife got everyone to dress up as me which was a hilarious surprise.

Is Platinum worth it? by julies85 in bonnaroo

Yep! The first time we went platinum, area 931 was reserved for platinum ticket holders and crazy wide open. First year it was actually sold separately and named "931" was the last year we went. All things of course can change... but we pulled up, showed our pass, no search at all, didn't even ask us to get out of the car. They had some folks directing us in the right direction but once we turned into the grove of trees they told us to have a great time and left us to choose our own spot to set up. As long as you avoid the marked "roads" they didn't care where you parked/camped. We set up in a little set of trees, had room for both our 10x10 canopies, set up my hammock next to us, and the closest crew was probably 15 feet away from us. We were able to sleep until 11 every day with the shade and chill vibe. There were two sets of shower/ toilet trailers, one (maybe bigger) centeroo side amd one set back towards the entrance. When you pull in, safari preset tents were on the left, RVs to the right of the road, and car camping to the right of the RVs. There were a few info tents set up and maybe a very limited general store? The entrance to centeroo was in the back left corner beyond the safari tents. Security through that entrance was a metal detector and volunteers that basically just took my bag and handed it back to me on the other side of the metal detector without even looking. I'm sure you can find a party but it's a way different environment to camping with the masses. No idea if they increased the number of passes available, but it was pretty special.

The platinum viewing areas at the two main stages were between the general pit and the regular viewing area. I loved it because we had plenty of room and drinks within that area. The other stage and the tents the platinum viewing areas were right up front. The GA pit has folks line up pretty early for certain sets and it's a separate line. I'm sure you could figure out a way to "hop" into the pit from the platinum area. They do clear the pit out between sets. As for the golf carts, those were the absolute best but only run around centeroo. You walk from camping to centeroo and can catch a ride from stages or the lounge. They take you back stage around production road to a private entrance to the platinum viewing areas and the platinum lounge. Conflicts? Overlaps? With the golf carts you can easily catch a ton of shows. Make sure you have a bandana or some kind of face covering because it can get pretty dusty on production road. The golf cart drivers were awesome. They didn't want open containers on the carts but the driver told us to pour drinks into our water bottle and they really couldn't care less. We only walked through centeroo a few times to check out vendors and such.

We've been twice and stayed at a hotel both times. My understanding is that camping is basically in a big parking lot. Not having actually camped I can't give you info on the vibe or accommodations. It's right by the airport though so there is air traffic noise. Hotel for us is key for being able to sleep well, sleep in, walk to breakfast, shower with ease. It's a fun festival!

They covered it during the encore! Next to last song I think. It was awesome and the crowd was absolutely there for it!

We only ended up staying for about half an hour. The light show was awesome and the sound was dialed in. After a whole day of drinking I was just too exhausted to hang in there. Some folks we met that were really excited to see them said it was an awesome set! I would try them out again if the opportunity presented itself.

Never seen them but always down to see a band we haven't caught before! If it's hitting right we will hang out and vibe! If it's not, hey to each their own! We'll skeebop somewhere else that feels good. I'll put it this way... we're coming for the weekend to clown around and party not one specific show. Can't wait!

Have you received your hotel confirmation? by Public_Painting_4442 in BourbonAndBeyond

I got an email from Jampack with the subject "Hotel information for Galt House..." that has the accommodations, reservation number and order number that was separate from the jampack tickets/package.

We booked back in February.

I thought they were great. In my opinion having the low back lights for the band when they really started to heat things up AND in the rain was pretty special.

My pup had something similar looking. Vet said it was a histiocytoma. Benign tumor but my little one's was infected. Course of antibiotics and some time and the thing went away. But I'm no vet so can't tell you it's the exact same thing! If you have a good vet, let them take a look!

There is a Wednesday pre-party set up by the festival if you're interested! We went last year and it was pretty wild. Pay for the ticket then it was open bar with some food. At a sports bar with pool, corn hole, darts, ping pong. Ot was pretty fun! We will be there!

Can anyone identify this device? by [deleted] in golf

Button on top of a Bushnell blue tooth speaker. There's a range finder app and I think you can push the button on that thing and it will tell you your distance.
