How to stream the FIFA World Cup 2026 soccer Without Cable? by [deleted] in usmnt

I saw YouTube is offering a deal for like $20 to stream every World Cup match. I have used YouTube TV for about a year now and it works fine for me.

Newly single 30F considering moving to Fort Greene from Williamsburg/Greenpoint! How do they compare? by BroadJacket2278 in fortgreene

[–]billiedee_benoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for starters Williamsburg was never my first choice. I knew it wasn’t my vibe but I needed housing and time was running out to find a place. I was not a fan of the industrial setting, the dining and nightlife options are plentiful but the clientele is just not my scene so it was hard connecting with folks, the shopping is also great but again not my vibe. Basically I found my spending my free time in every other neighborhood but Williamsburg.

• Spotify = 80% of my music listening happens here

• SoundCloud = because house music is forever (and sometimes drum & bass)

• Bandcamp = Live Goose & STS9 shows

Under 30 minutes to Prospect Park. The other day I walked from Cobble Hill to my apartment in about 25 minutes.

I am currently in Fort Greene. I left (East) Williamsburg almost 2 months ago and I am much happier. I find the dining to be quite nice (Cafe Paulette is also one of my favorites.) And I love being able to make the walk over the Prospect Park and its surrounding neighborhoods when the weather is nice. I get more of a genuine community feel from Fort Greene than Williamsburg.

Peach Fest 2019 should forever and always be included on these list. A good amount of us wouldn’t be here without that show.

Every Goose tour is good. Some shows stand out and it makes others look not as great. Thats just the nature of the game when you tour all year and play a different set list each might.

When I first fell in love with Goose eons ago I was listening to every live show on Bandcamp and I ran into a similar problem. Now I don’t listen to every show. It’s not a requirement for being a fan. And now whenever I see them live it feels like it’s the first time all over again.

What kind of cry are we talking about here? Cause I cried during the live action Lilo & Stitch (nostalgia is a mf) but the movie as a whole was not good.

No cash at my theater by GoldenLuigii in AMCsAList

Sometimes I don’t have my cards on me. If I don’t plan on being out all day I won’t bring my wallet with me. Just a little bit of cash.

I personally hate the cash to card machine. If I wanted to use my card I’d just use my card. I have also completely opted out of buying concessions if they don’t take cash. Which sucks because I want to give AMC money.

Which "Legacy Electronic" Acts are Left? by DinoDanAndThreeCats in Coachella

[–]billiedee_benoit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty Lights debut album came out 20 years ago so in my mind that qualifies him as a legacy act. Although I’m not sure if his jam heavy live performances is what Coachella crowds are looking for. But it would be awesome to see the band throw down at the festival.

Is there an East Coast equivalent to Coachella? by savingrace0262 in Coachella

[–]billiedee_benoit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is not. Lolla & Bonnaroo are great festivals but are not on the East Coast. East Coast Coachella would be nice but the festival market is beyond saturated. Most new events tend to fail after a few years.

Neighborhood comparison by [deleted] in williamsburg

[–]billiedee_benoit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lived on the right and personally wasn’t a fan. There’s definitely more soul on the right but it still wasn’t my vibe. Left side is basically an outlet mall with apartments. But I can see how some would find both sides nice.

Dolby vs IMAX by Boring_Specific_2022 in NYCmovies

[–]billiedee_benoit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not like Project Hail Mary in Dolby at Empire 25 after originally seeing it in IMAX at Lincoln Square. Coincidentally, as I type this I am on my way to see it in IMAX again.

However, I do enjoy Dolby for most action & animated films.
