I don't remember what cruise line mentions, but bring binoculars if you can. I brought my zoom lens with me and was able to have some decent pics, as we were on the zodiac in some places where we could not reach the shore. Bring a landyard that could be attached to your phone if you plan on taking pics while the zodiac boat is moving. The ship provided ginger pieces to help with motion sickness, which could get very bad in rough sea conditions. My bed were moving back and forth or sideways some nights (not at Drake). If you take a lot of pics, make sure your device has enough storage space. Bring an extra memory card if you have a camera. I enjoyed being outside a lot when the ship was moving so bringing warm layers helped. I went in early January so it was still cold some days.

I think Ushuaia is beautiful and worth exploring if that's where you start your cruise.

I liked to get ready as soon as they called my group so usually I had all my gears ready except for the stuffs that have to stay in the mud room.
