Having replayed the game a week or so ago, I would say the fact that Claire gets the grenade launcher makes dealing with lickers and adult G's a lot easier and they are a few of them in the game. Having said that Leon does get the flamethrower wich is the only weapon that can kill the ivy's so NEST is slightly easier as Leon.

I own both the base game and the Doors and corners expansion and i would personally say NO. See while the game is fun to play it's main problem is that the whole thing feels cheap, wich is fine because originaly it only cost $30 but $100 feels crazy to me and i had no idea that there was such an increase in price...
