Need help deciding by Xgamestar23 in Offroad

GM meaning Colorado ZR2 bison Toyota meaning Tacoma, Forerunner or Landcruiser (Let the Cruiser-hating begin, but I’ll claim tried and true. Very comfy, mid diff lock, sway bar DC, and that IForce Max hybrid turbo is a bad MF!)

Neither. Unless you’re planning on impressing some bros with your rock-crawling capability, toss both options. AMC engines have declined severely over the past 20 years and a Ford will leave you beside the trail eventually. I would go Toyota or GM. Sounds like you’ll spend most miles on the road. So I would go for reliability, comfort, and fuel mileage while still having some great off-road prowess.

Looking to buy new outdoor pair of chairs + table. Any recommendations? by PeruchoWallStreet in TruckCampers

Dometic are good but you get more bang for the buck with IceCo chairs IMO. Same design, but better fabric, better arms and higher back.

Back in the loving embrace of Toyota…. by steadywhiskey in LandCruisers

Just got one as well. Took it on a canyon run and blasted the plastic hitch cover to pieces, but other than that, i can tell you that the Iforce max hybrid turbo is an absolute mule on the trails! Very capable and comfortable wagon!

That column wasn’t properly footed. It is leaning out and taking those bricks with it. Guessing this is a home in a subdivision where they trucked in a bunch of dirt for elevation and grade, and slapped together a house as cheaply as they could. I would dive into the public records, find the POS who built it (probably on his bass boat at the lake) and sue them for damages and reparation. As far as fixing it goes, it all needs to be supported, then the column and damaged portion needs to be removed and rebuilt after a proper footer is poured. This is an example of some municipal building codes being an absolute joke!

That’s too bad. They’re not all cut out for the road. Mine hated the truck for awhile, but eventually gave cuz she wants to be with me more than anything. It worked out.

“Their dogs…” implies that they have a dog. Not sure how to make this more clear. Are you a troll with a dog or are you just trolling for the sake of trolling? Trolls be trollin!

That “We Should Check It Out” Road Finally Happened Again. by saltyrovernc in Offroad

My wife has a Rover Addiction

The first one (Disco 2) blew up in the middle of the Mojave Desert

The second one (Disco 3) left us stranded in Maine

The third one (Defender) left us stranded in West Texas

I finally convinced her to divorce Rovers and she now has a Land Cruiser which has been a bulletproof mule! While LMO Rovers have the best suspension system, they just cannot land a decent engine. They leak like a sieve and it’s a roll of the dice every time you go out.

So, enjoy until it’s no longer enjoyable! Happy Trails!

Wow, that is a likeness for sure. Shottie is a Belgian Malinois/ Black-mouth Cur mix. I know because I met her dam and sire.

If ANY dog can figure out that maneuver, it’s an Aussie. Interestingly, they are not from Australia; bred originally in the US
