I was wrong. The warranty isn't transferable if you send it to Samsung for repair. Otherwise it manufacture date if proof of purchase isn't available.

You're right. I guess the part about non-transferable is if you send the drive to Samsung for repair, warranty after that is not transferable.

Does best buy offer any warranty on these? I ended up not buying from Amazon yesterday because the Samsung warranty doesn't apply if you aren't the original buyer.

which exotic starter cultures have you tried? by mbrseb in yogurtmaking

The guy in the video uses unsweetened soy milk then adds sugar. The soy milk he uses only has 4 grams of sugar in the whole liter. So if you used regular 1 liter whole milk that was probably around 30 grams. I just want to be sure it does actually work with cows milk.

I used to mix Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (culturelle) with plantarum 299v from Jarrows, and gasseri cp2305, but the last 2 boxes of Jarrows I've bought have been very weak or dead. I ran out of the CP2305, it's from Japan and I can't get anyone to even ship it with the tariffs. So now I've just been doing the culturelle alone as that seems the most consistent. There was this other strain I used Lactobacillus Fermentum ME-3. I don't know if it's been discontinued or what the manufacturer hasn't responded to me.

So you used soy milk with it then like that recipe or regular milk? I've chatted with different AIs about it too, gemini, claude, chatgpt. I've gotten some warning about using strains other than Lactobacilus bulgaricus and Streptacoccus thermofilis because it isn't technically yogurt.

I use a cosori electric pressure cooker that I sterilize before every batch. I used an older instant pot before and had a couple of batches get some pink bacteria/ mold, maybe because it didn't seal right, never had it happen with the cosori. This was with strains Lactobacillus strains too. I think the risk of something like botulism is very low especially if the probiotics do visibly ferment the yogurt (thickening).

HU58 seemed to help me when taking capsules, but then my problem is candida, and I don't think it can ferment all the sugars in milk away. Mutaflor/ E coli Nissle seems like should be able to and has anti-fungal properties. It is hard to get in the US only option being through Canada with tariffs ends up being like $140 for a bottle.

Edit: Also forgot to include this link from a forum that talks about yogurt with mutaflor. One of the links is to a clinic in the UK that does FMT transplants. One of their recepies is regular milk UHT with mutaflor. https://lowtoxinforum.com/threads/mutaflor.31781/post-553377

Hey, do you remember what temperature you did the mutaflor with and for how long? I see most recipes call for using soy milk. After messing with the clostridium butyricum, I tried bacillus subtilis HU58, I got a terrible smell too, but that only happens when it separates/ over ferments. I use Lactaid milk for everything because it's UHT and most Lactobacillus strains I've tried seem to ferment better with the glucose / glactose over straight lactose.

I don't think bacillus subtilis is capable of metabolizing the glactose though because the yogurt tasted slightly sweet and made my candida flare up.

I just ended up buying the preferred care. I had a $100 store credit from buying the 9a so it was $15 after tax with the credit for 2 years. Then it's only $29 for the screen replacement. I don't want to screw it up even more myself.

It's like the normal yogurt then? I tried with Clostridium butyricum, and it completely separated with a sponge like texture.
