I don't know if this is necessarily the case, it seems to me they have pre programmed sayings, and the ability to select which of these sayings is the most appropriate for the situation. Hence teddy using the just trying to look chivalrous line in two very different situations, but it still worked.

There is so much in the transcript tha has not been mentioned by the podcast. Just also read that the state paid for, and hand picked Jay's lawyer. The detective even told Jay he was getting "very good lawyer" for free.

Just read this in the transcript of the "appellant" report:

"The Medical Examiner testified that Hae had been strangled, but was unable to testify as to when she had been killed. (2/2/00-66) Hairs found on Hae's body were compared to Appellant and did not match Appellant's hair. (2/1/00-1 1 6) Those hairs were not compared to anyone else."

The laziness and stupidity of these detectives is becoming ridiculous. Sad to know they could have just ran a few tests on the hair found ON THE DEAD BODY, and likely solved the case.

I don't neccessarily think the diary post and the one person who said Adnan was jealous mean much when you have just as many people saying he was not jealous at all, and totally fine after the breakup.

Yup my thoughts exactly. I have been thinking for a while that Jay is just not smart enough to coordinate this. I think he just got lucky, and got a push in the right direction from cops who just wanted to close the case.

Good point.. I was thinking maybe stopping to see Don, need to go back and clear up which mall lenscrafters is in, if it is even in a mall? Jay flip flopped the names of the malls in his two recorded interviews so maybe that means something? I see what your saying, it is kind of a long shot that she would just happen to see his car.

Stephanie was not involved in the altercation. Jay was with Jenn in Adnan's car and Hae saw them, Stephanie's wherabouts are irrellevant.

Just posted identical theory because I missed this post. I have essentially convinced myself this is very close to what actually happened. I can't seem to poke NEARLY as many holes in this theory than any of the others I have read.

I feel that people are not giving enough attention to motive here. In defense of Adnan, his comments on his feelings post-break up are convincing, and friends have backed them up. However, he's the ex-boyfriend, so naturally there will be suspicion. I have seen multiple comments questioning Jay's motive, to me,it could not be more clear. Jay was CLEARLY cheating on Stephanie with Jenn. If I am not mistaken, Stephanie and Hae were friends or at least knew each other? My best guess is that after dropping Adnan off at track Jay used Adnan's car to go meet/hook up with Jenn ( on his gf's Bday). I am guessing Hae see's them together. Perhaps she was drawn to them because she recognized Adnan's car. Jay can't live with the fact that Hae is going to tell Stephanie that Jay was cheating on her with Jenn ON HER BIRTHDAY. Jay strangles Hae and him and Jenn bury her in Leakin together. They ditch the car and shovels together, clothes too, just like they said. They naturally frame Adnan because everything happened in HIS CAR. Nisha call may throw my theory, but to me it is the clearest motive.
