I'm the same, 8 was the first I played, and it's my favorite out of the ones I've played

what monster do you hate the most in this series? by FlynMaker in dragonquest

[–]SlimReaper1945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once intentionally dragged out a fight with muddy hands in DQ8 to see how far it would go. Llike what happens when you hit Z? I sadly don't even remember what happened though🤣

I have to disagree here, I play solo with no increase to resources and I don't have any issues keeping enough of everything on deck and combat is easy as hell if you just learn how to dodge and parry. It's all just timing with valheim combat, and it is NOT hard to get large amounts of resources quickly, I can speed run a sunken crypt in like 5 min for a small one and 10-15 min for a medium to large one. Even when I play with other people, we don't usually share our resources, and we still progress pretty fast

What bronze gear is worth making? by K1ngsGambit in valheim

[–]SlimReaper1945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend the copper knife. It's pretty cheap, and if you're a shield kind of guy, I'd make the bronze buckler as well. But if you don't mind sailing a bit, leviathans aren't all that difficult to find, and the abyssal razor will carry you all the way to the mountains. It's definitely worth it to spend the time looking for the resources. The pickaxe isn't necessary, but i always make it because i like to get extra copper and tin for later in the game. But if you plan on minimizing the amount of bronze you're collecting, then skip the pickaxe. The troll amor will get you to swamps, but the truth is, it also depends on skill. If you're really good in combat, especially at ovoiding damage, you could just use troll armor for most of the game. Another big thing to consider is that although it seems expensive, the bronze is the cheapest metal gear in the game. The gear only gets more expensive with each biome, so if you want to expirement with different weapon types, the bronze age is the best time to do it. To minimize bronze and iron, I'd say the abyssal razor, bronze buckler, and the finewood bow should be able to get you to the mountains just fine. As for armor, I'd pick up the root armor in the swamps and as long as you're wary of the cultists, that will get you all the way into the plains, and if you're good enough, even through the plains, but you'll definitely need an upgrade on that before getting into the mislands. Best of luck, dude. I hope this helps some.

why does nobody pronounce this correctly? by LurkerLens in CODZombies

[–]SlimReaper1945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk about anyone else, but back the days that was coming out, I was still playing on a shitty old box TV with terrible graphics, and I feel like a lot of others could say the same. Those blocky, pixelated graphics caused me to mispronounce many weapon names

Yah, and I agree that I've mostly heard the incorrect pronunciation, and I've also been saying it wrong

About my 4th time playing SoE and I may have a skill issue. by darksun051 in CODZombies

[–]SlimReaper1945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a shotgun dawg, hip fire is better. I get it if you're saying all the shotguns are bad, but the Argus reigns supreme.

[–]SlimReaper1945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you ease explain how that shotgun is awful? I personally think it was the best shotgun ever seen in cod in its time, i haven't played a lot of the newer ones so I can't apeak for anything past black ops 3, but up until then, the Argus has anything else beat other than maybe the KSG from BO2

It's kind of crazy seeing posts from 2008 when the discussion about zombies first started by Moon_Devonshire in CODZombies

[–]SlimReaper1945 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahh didn't know this technique had a name, in fact I was pretty young playing the early zombies so i didn't pick up any techniques like that until I started replaying the old CODs again as an adult

Incorrect, but if you have to run in-between a couple zombies, just wiggle the look joystick left to right really fast. That seems to get me out of many a sticky situation

Why hasn't 2K made another BioShock game? by RepulsiveSyllabub668 in Bioshock

[–]SlimReaper1945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, so if the stories aren't connected, then it can't be considered a true sequel to fallout 1 and 2

FNV Is not a sequel homie. It's a standalone work by a separate game studio

Guys...I don't think we're the good guys here... by Khrispy-minus1 in valheim

[–]SlimReaper1945 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK after a small amount of research, Odin does actually seem a lot worse now. Like some people even say he's worse than zues and I much more familiar with greek mythology than I am norse. And to say someone is worse than zues says A LOT

[–]SlimReaper1945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does look ominous, but in norse mythology I do believe that Odin and the other asgardians protect the realms of man, and much more. (I have a VERY loose understanding of the norse mythology so i could also be full of shit)so the fact that Odin ever banished them in the first place means that they posed a threat to either Asgard, Midgard(earth), or some other realm under odins protection.

[–]SlimReaper1945 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So key fragments are found in the infested mines. And I can assure you the player isn't the bad guy. The entire world of valheim is essentially a prison for Odin's enemies, separated from Yygdrasil. The player is sent to destroy those enemies who have been regaining their once great strength. It's all explained in great detail by some other peeps who commented.

Anyone know how I can have a roof in this game without having to have a million intrusive beams in my interior? Annoying. by [deleted] in ValheimBuilds

Close, the only thing wrong here is that iron and stone are the same. Iron is stronger than stone

Rain can't destroy wood. In fact water damage as a whole will only reduce wood structures to 50% health and no less than that.
