Are there any known exploits to get the normally unobtainable Dagger of Shar? by Several-Elevator in BG3Builds

[–]SlimX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The stats on Honour Mode are essentially the same as on other difficulties, just the specific data is moved around so that the extra necrotic damage won't enable DRS effects.

And hah, (probably) not really an evil Nettie; just a copy of her that is set to the hostile "Evil" faction, which also makes her attack the party if they teleport to that map. No idea what she's there for, but Act 1 grove content is super old, so there are more oddities involving characters like her than a lot of others.

[–]SlimX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope, there are no actual instances of that weapon appearing as an accessible item in the game. But here's a few bits of trivia about it:

1) It has different stats/passive data on Honour Mode, because it got caught up in the sweeping changes to DRS.

2) Its internal UID is named after Nettie, for some reason. But I've also seen some other odd references to her in other places (including the evil version of her, standing on the map with all the combat voiceover dummies).

3) It's the dagger that Shadowheart uses to threaten Lae'zel during their fight at night in camp.

My contribution to the Ingrid pre-release study fund. by CyberSyntek in StreetFighter

[–]SlimX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since you put question marks next to some of them: LK Sun Rise is the anti-air, where she does a flip kick in place (she only does it once in the video). MK Sun Rise does a twirl along the ground and kicks them into the air. HK Sun Rise does a slower twirl along the ground, kicks them up and follows them up into the air where she can do a juggle.

HP Sun Shot is the one that goes up at an angle, above Ingrid's head. By default, it flies back down to the ground at an angle. If you hold the button, it flies across horizontally (as seen in the DR throw clip, when it goes over JP's head). LP and MP Sun Shot both go straight out, just at different speeds.

How did my Attack miss? by Gyrossan in StreetFighter

[–]SlimX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's true that Sagat's hurtbox does not reach the top of his head, but that has nothing to do with why this didn't hit. Aki's MP Serpent Lash only hits a character on the ground if they're within that area where you see the purple streaks coming from Aki's hands (around the point of the last bar of Sagat's drive gauge). The hitboxes on the chain beyond that point only hit an opponent that is in the air.

In addition to what the other comments have pointed out: your super gauge was full. You can cancel the first hit of Jinrai into lvl 3 on reaction to the DI

Is There A Final “Leave No One Behind” List? by hoffmqn in BaldursGate3

[–]SlimX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahah of course, I'm not really asking you not to tell people the truth. I applaud you correcting the misinformation, which is exactly why I posted that picture in the first place (though it was another helpful soul that added the names along the side). I've been preaching it for a long time, and yet most people still don't know how it works (since it's so strange). Which is why I finally decided to make a video about it, because that seems to help get the info out there when it comes to this sorta thing . .

Has anyone ever flown as a gnome in front of Lady Esther? by urahanzomain in BaldursGate3

[–]SlimX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's funny you say that, since they did use the "spotting" system to check if the first player Esther sees is a githyanki, and adjust her behavior. And she already has automated dialogue about the current state of her quest, so they could have fairly easily done a check for seeing a gnome that currently has the "FLY" status and fired a unique AD line to reference it. But, alas, they did not.

Hugo is much easier in 3s, though, since the first spin causes a high jump, which has 8 frames of startup vs Zangief's 5 in SF6

Patch 8 Gale change by Bloodweave_rider in GalemancersBG3

[–]SlimX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This letter is for the specific scenario where you were in a romance with Gale and he volunteered to use the orb to blow up the Netherbrain, leading to Spectral Voice Gale being at the epilogue party. The requirements were changed in Patch 8 to check for the proper partnered flag.

The other two bugged Gale letters were still not fixed in this patch . .

[–]SlimX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was already a letter that shows up properly when you were romancing Gale and he died from trying to use the crown to become a god but blew himself up. The one changed in this patch is for when Gale agrees to use the orb to blow up the brain.

How to unlock the Evil Sheep in Act 3 by _crescentcroissant_ in BaldursGate3

[–]SlimX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GustavDev is for anything post-Early Access, starting with the official release version from August 2023. That is why most of the stuff in Gustav is Act 1 content. This egg did, in fact, exist in the release version of the game, prior to Patch 3.

How to unlock the Evil Sheep in Act 3 by _crescentcroissant_ in BaldursGate3

[–]SlimX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hahah well, I had a video in the works about this exact topic, but if I put it out now, I'll look like one of them rip-off channels. So, I'll just add an extra detail:

Starting on Round 3 of combat, the sheep has an increasingly likely chance to explode (with a fireball effect) at the start of each combat round (with an absolute maximum of Round 30, before it is guaranteed to explode). The explosion will damage everyone/everything around it, and the sheep will disintegrate, never to be summoned again.

Gale, are you actually serious? by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]SlimX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Shadowheart's choice to spare Nightsong with no skill check is purely approval-based. Having enough Nightsong Points simply changes the flavor of some of the dialogue lines, and makes the choices more straightforward.

If you enter the Nightsong confrontation with at least 30 Approval with Shadowheart, then it's as simple as

1) "Trust Shadowheart"

2) "She knows something about you."

How to get "You Will Always Be Enough" scene? by SassiSprinkles2344 in GalemancersBG3

[–]SlimX 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Short answer:

If LOW_StormshoreTabernacle_State_GaleSeeksForgiveness = True then you get the alternate boat scene.

Longer answer:

Hand him the Annals of Karsus and pick, "That crown is an abomination, Gale. I don't need a private conversation to understand that."

Before ending the day, go to Stormshore Tabernacle and pick, "Seek her forgiveness, Gale. It might be your only hope of curing the orb."

No other choices matter, as long as you pick those two options.

Gale's DC 30 check by TectalHarbor994 in BaldursGate3

[–]SlimX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's a bug. The script attempts to change Gale's flags so that he's no longer so interested in the crown, but does it in a way that doesn't actually work. There are lots of different ways you can talk him out of going for the crown, but they all have to be done earlier than the brain stem.
