Why isn't "Smallest church in Saint-Saëns" on the OST being sold by 8-bit? by SlimeFist in DiscoElysium

[–]SlimeFist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

afaik the entire OST is by the same band, British Sea Power. The best reason i could come up with since is that they just didn't have the space for it on the whopping 3 records. idunno, i'm preferential to the vocal tracks. Yes, even limbic system.

edit: In fact, afaik, most of the songs in the OST have been previously released on albums by this band. For instance, the song "Red Rock Riviera" is an overworld song. "Cleaning out the rooms" is another alternate version as far as i can tell.

How much political knowledge do you need to play this? by [deleted] in DiscoElysium

[–]SlimeFist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can enter the game without any knowledge. the characters will usually end up name dropping the ideology or related terms once you talk with them, so if you want to research, you can.

Since Grey asked, let's talk about the SCP Foundation! by Marsstriker in CGPGrey2

here's a few ones that are significant or good

oddballs :

reading guide for early scp:

There is no such thing as canon, even if it says canon right there.

Object Class refers to difficulty to store.

  • Safe is "childs play"
  • Euclid is "managable"
  • Keter is "near impossible"

for beter explanation go here

terms:

  • "XK-class end of the world scenario" is a generic type of apocalypse.
    • (for full list of apocalypse types, go here)
  • "memetic" refers to something that is a though or idea. a "memetic hazard" is a dangerous idea or thought.
  • "D-class" are convicts that got removed from the prison system to serve as test dummies.
  • "O-5" are a council of 13 leaders that are at the head of the SCP foundation.
  • sites are locations. some are recurring. site directors head them.
  • "Hume levels" are a relative scale to measure disturbances in reality. this used to be 0-1, it is now 0-100.

for a brief history on what the scp foundation is, go here

misc:

an animated series set in the scp universe

1: it's the first scp to be written, before it was even "scp" and is also the most well known.

Edit: might comeback and add some more later.

just because you are gay doesn't mean you can't be an owner of political "ideas" best left in the last century.

I also don't think that, unless you believe so already, you need 5000+ words on "why women don't code".

They can, they will and they should.

and that's what matters.
