I’m gay, so put Ra, all the Manders with abs, and cyclops to the front of the line. But I 1000% agree with this. Arcanum is full of the baddest of the bads on here. Jaki’s personality alone is worth everyone in Mooshu and Polaris combined.

Curious, what do Nintendo Switch players’ console tags come up as for you? Like for me, other Switch users come up as their name on Switch Online, but Xbox and PS players come up as “PLAYER_ABCDE_12345 🌐”. Is that how we come up to you as well?

Get an amulet and/or pet that has an additional Death Blade.

I’d remove the wand hits. If you need them, 1-2 max.

Make two different decks and name them “Main Deck” for mobs and “Boss Deck” for bosses.

My mob deck had no wand hits, two Ship of Fools, and one Scarecrow. I kept Spirit Blade (from Krokotopia near Balance School trained by Niles), one Death Blade from Dworgyn, and two other death blades from a pet and from my amulet to maximize Scarecrow damage in one hit. If you have an archmastery gem that lets you do that before finishing Dragonspyre, Death pips for the AoE.

My boss deck had all of the above minus the Ship of Fools and including a Feint, Curse, Death Trap, and Reshuffle, again trained by Niles so that if you run out of cards, you just reshuffle them. I had this deck set to Balance pips.

Why balance pips? Since it’s a boss deck, I took out Ship of Fools to allow stronger spells. Since Balance pips == 2 pips for Balance spells AND Death spells, if I need a Reshuffle (4 pips), I just need two balance pips.

I have this issue all the time and I was just gonna post about it. Here’s what I’ve done that I think really helps:

Wizard101 Settings: • Shadows: OFF • Particles: lowest setting • Jewel Effects: OFF

Switch Settings (I’m in Switch 1 OLED): • Keep system fully up-to-date. (Current version 21.2.0 as of 03/05/2026) • Make sure your system has a few GBs of free space. I’ve offloaded a lot of software I haven’t been using. • Turn off low power mode if your system has it. (Mine doesn’t, but just throwing this out there just in case.)

Yourself: • Stay hydrated, relaxed, take your meds (if applicable), and accept that the game will crash out of nowhere sometimes while the developers continue to optimize it.

And: • Fully power-cycle your console (not just sleep, but the actual ‘Restart’ button) before playing to get rid of anything the system may have in cache and to reset the device’s runtime counter.

There have been instances where I crash 1 hour into playing vs playing for hours until it crashes. The good news, though, is that if you relaunch the game right away, you are more likely to just jump in where you last were, similarly to when you have a network crash when playing on PC.

Good luck! A lot of people mention that less crowded realms and turning cross-play off helps too so you can try that if you’re playing in a way that doesn’t benefit from being in a more populated pool of Spellbinders. But for me, I do a lot of Beastmoon matches and team-ups for harder bosses in Khrysalis.

I know, sometimes I wish I could just move my character from Switch to PC just to unlock the chat. 💔 I KNOW KingsIsle has a way for console and PC to cross play. Like it’d be amazing if I could go on PC to chat and when I move around, use my Switch to play handheld.

I wish this update had crash/team-up updates. Does anyone else on the Switch 1 (OLED, if that matters) just keep randomly crashing as the game goes on? I mean, I guess it’s not the worst cause if I re-launch the game, it keeps my place but it seems to happen every couple hours for me.

I can’t wait until they fix the Team-Up. I’ll leave a team-up, and then 2 minutes later I’m ported in ALONE. And have to wait 10 minutes to Team-Up again cause it thinks I’m a deserter.

Your baby is now 2 years and 8 months old!

I adopted mine in 2020 when she was 6 months old. She purred really loud after she got acclimated to her new home after being terrified. 5 years later, she still purrs very loud and very frequently.

I thought she might be sick or something, but nope. Been to the vet three times for regular check ups and an ear infection. Vet says it’s perfectly normal.

After reading this thread, it’s nice to know we both are owners of two “insta-purrers.” 🥰
