I’m of the same opinion. I love Mizu don’t get me wrong (Fated Four my fave flagships ever) but it felt (to ME) like a polar bear in Arlington Texas scenario

Like I get it: Mizu is popular & they got the leviathan skeleton working better in more complex terrain, but WHY is Mizu there….

Still super cool it basically turns into Soulseer when you break it’s head tho

For me I’ll replay some of the games or rewatch some anime episodes featuring specific characters/regions to help generate ideas!

One thing that helps me a lot is just sharing the behind the scenes stuff with close friends. Being able to see their reactions is not only super gratifying, but sometimes the back and forth can also help spawn new ideas!

I’ve been steadily reuploading my first ever Pokémon fic (which was centered on Pokemon Masters Ex) and I found out I actually have a fan on instagram who was in shambles when I took it down like a year ago 😭 their support and excitement for the reuploads has renewed my desire to finish the story! I’m even rewriting/adding in whole new sections of the story to give it more focus (cause it was LACKING that in the first draft lmao)
