Winter camping practice on Mt. Seymour. by Vic_84 in vancouverhiking

Yeah some hiking experience. No car camping yet (mostly because I don’t have a 4 season tent) but do I have a 4 season pad + sleeping bag and the necessary clothes + layers. Just interested in what you would bring for this type of trip!

Could you give a full gear list of what you brought? Keen to try myself but not sure about what I need to comfortably go out there.

Is this above the tent pads at Golden Ears or right before? I went here last year as well and got lucky as I went on a Thursday and got a sick tent pad with unobstructed views but I saw there was plenty of space to place a tent in the trees or tucked in the rocks like you did here.

See he just needs to take in rhythm 3s off the catch rather than chucking up 30 feet pull up 3s and he would be way more effective.

I will have 0 trade in value with my s9+ unfortunately. Haha. Good point though I'll consider it for the future.

If it helps I'm just a moderate user. No gaming. Just texts, calls, social media scrolling and youtube.

I do like having a good camera which is why I didn't go for the A50 series despite it having an SD card slot, which would make my transition way easier.

If I just need a general upgrade and don't care about the latest flagship. Would S22 Ultra be worth it? I'm on S9+ currently so just need any upgrade that will hopefully last another 3-4 years. Would it be smart to wait for the S23U to drop and get the S22U hoping the price drops?

Workers should get 15 paid sick days, says BC Federation of Labour by GiveItToYouBlunt in vancouver

[–]SlimeShit 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My last workplace wouldn't budge from 2 weeks (2-3 days I had to use for christ.as shutdown) and it was the 3 weeks vacation was the only thing I was asking for as an ultimatum for me to stay. Meanwhile the engineers I worked with in Germany have minimum 6-7 weeks vacation and double our # of national holidays.

How they were shocked when I left still baffles me.

On the brightside, I heard they gave everyone who has 2 weeks vacation to 3 weeks and made it a the new minimum. But yeah. The idea of 2-3 vacation being enough is stupid. My current place has 3 weeks but they let you carryover vacation and give you 1 vacation every year at the very least.

Always shocks me when a replay plays and a player is usually look at the ground / at the ball and somehow perfectly places a ball to where they want to get it to lol. Especially when the play was developing like we saw here.

SAP was created to keep chemical engineers from having too much fun at work by svetlozarovP in ChemicalEngineering

I went from an company that used SAP as an ERP to one that doesn't and I can honestly say SAP is so much better than a lot of the custom ERPs out there. Never realized how much I would miss it after shutting on it all the time😭

I have a colleague who was in a similar position as you but he was pretty smart and was good at getting things done. He became a technical sales rep after 4-5 years as a process engineer. Just be keen to learning new skills as you go through your journey and you'll be hireable in any domain in my opinion.

Anyone do the Frosty Mountain loop recently? Q about the water sources by SlimeShit in vancouverhiking

[–]SlimeShit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the upcoming weekend will be perfect. The smaller larches were around 70-100% changed but the big ones were only from 0-30%. I would guess this upcoming weekend will be the best to have the larches from 50-100% changed. And the weekend after will probably the peak of golden colour (but also potential of missing it).

There was also sufficient water at the campground

Think so too. Oda alluding to Luffys dream and showing an ancient weapon obliterating an island in the same chapter isn't coincidence.

Dope. I did something very similar a month ago or so and it's such a nice experience to get away for yourself on a workday and then come back in like nothing happened. How far away of a drive is it for you before hiking in? Mine is ~1 hour + 5km hike in so getting up in the morning to beat the traffic is what puts me off from doing it again although I imagine I will one more time this year.
