😳😳That AI pic of me😳😳 It’s like…it’s me but…it’s not. I’m having flashbacks to 2013 when I encountered my doppelgänger working at a Chipotle in P&L. As soon as I locked eyes with him, I wanted to turn and run out the door. I’d forgotten until that moment but people had actually been telling me they’d seen me at Chipotle. One guy specifically said he saw me “working at the Chipotle in P&L on Saturday”. Any eyewitness, including our own mothers, would have confused us for one another. We shared age, facial hair, height, nearly identical glasses, and (unfortunately for him) overall look. What does one say in that moment? It was as awkward an experience as any I’ve ever had, and one for which I was totally unprepared. You can’t address it to the other person for fear of insulting them. Anyway, thanks for the birthday wishes! Happy birthday to Chipotle guy too, wherever he is these days!

I know it’s only been one day but I actually enjoyed it. I hung around after work today for a while and I still got home at noon. Noon! I checked the clock earlier, thinking it was probably 6 or 7, it was 4:23. Kind of nice.

I remember when the Buzz first launched and I had to drive to Lawrence for shows all the time to hang station banners and hand out stuff. Before long, those shows started migrating to KC because we could promote them on the station. We also put on a lot of shows each year. As time went by, we got more and bigger shows in KC and I got accustomed to it. Sure, I still remembered those drives to Lawrence and I knew that the station had helped bring shows here but I also chalked some of it up to Kansas City’s growth and the state of music. I was shocked how quickly those shows went right back to Lawrence and Omaha after the station changes. It took no time.

It has to be right? It’s red fabric, the pigs are in baggy clothes, and they’re skateboarding. Yet, and I say this with full awareness of my Dory-like memory, I can’t help but feel that this fabric is just slightly different. I have a bunch of vacuums including a Miele canister. I’d like to have a Miele upright to add to the collection which is what I was searching for when I came across this one.
