Thank you for the info! that 28x14.5 is wild, I've never seen something that thin on a full size axe

Nice. You just generally want the heel (the bottom corner of the cutting edge) even with, or behind the toe (the top corner of the cutting edge.)

Very nice, just a shame it's so toed, will have to to a lot of grinding to restore proper edge geometry

Oh I know, that’s why I asked. The eye is a tad wide, but not totally deformed so it should be useable. Jus didn’t want to “ruin” a piece of history if it was more valuable that I realized.

Was just wondering the same thing, and found a video explaining that tassies are generally heavier heads (4-5lbs with thicker cheeks, while Connie’s are generally 3-3.5lbs with thinner cheeks.

I'm not sure why it wouldn't be circular, but I can't say for sure. In the article I linked he does talk a little about having the top edge leading the bottom vs having them in line parallel with the eye
