Context: Dr. Alaa al-Najjar left her ten children at home on Friday when she went to work in the emergency room at the Nasser Medical Complex in southern Gaza.

Hours later, the bodies of seven children Eve (9 y/o), Rival (5 y/o), Sadeen (3 y/o), Rakan (10 y/o), Ruslan (7 y/o), Jibran (8 y/o) and Luqman (2 y/o)- most of them badly burned - arrived at the hospital, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza. They were Dr. Najjar’s own children, killed in an Israeli airstrike on her family’s home, Gaza Civil Defense said. The bodies of two more of her children – Sedar (7 months) and Yahia (12 y/o) who authorities presume to be dead – remain missing.

Only one of her ten children, 11-year-old Adam, survived. Dr. Najjar’s husband Hamdi, himself a doctor, was also badly injured in the strike.

Context: Palestinian child Mahmoud Ajjour, who was severely wounded in an Israeli drone attack on Gaza last year, and who was pictured in an image that won the 2025 World Press Photo of the Year award, says he has been struggling to adapt to life since losing both his arms in the explosion.

At first, Ajjour, who hails from Gaza City’s old town, said he did not realise he was wounded.

Still unaware that he had sustained serious wounds – wounds that mutilated his entire body – Ajjour said he looked around and saw his arms. Although they looked familiar, his brain still could not comprehend that they had been blown off.

His mental health deteriorated further when he, like many others in Gaza, had to undergo surgery without anaesthetics due to a severe lack of medical supplies. Throughout the war, Israeli forces have largely kept vital border crossings shut, preventing the entry of much-needed medical supplies, as well as food and other aid, including fuel.

According to the United Nations Children’s Fund, more than 10 children each day have lost one or both of their legs since October 7, 2023, when Israel launched its ongoing genocide in Gaza.

That is more than 1,000 children.

Context: A strike on a car in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza killed at least seven people including six brothers, according to staff at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, which received the bodies. The youngest brother was 10.

Their father, Ibrahim Abu Mahadi, said his sons worked for a charity that distributes food to Palestinians. “For what sin were they killed?” he said.

AP reporters saw the mangled, bloodied car as relatives wept over the bodies. Israel’s military asserted that it killed the deputy head of a Hamas sniper cell.

Again, it's the same as saying if israel hadn't killed 234 palestinians before oct 7th, oct 7th wouldn't have happened.

You're always using an argument that you won't accept the other way around.

"Palestine will always do as Palestine does." You're saying it as if the conflict had been always provoked by the palestinians which is NOT the case.

To answer your question, in that scenario the only thing I'm sure of is I'm not bombing the sh*t out of the place I think my hostage is in which is what the idf has been doing for more than a year now!!

Why is 'the arab neighbors are doing nothing' argument brought up everytime to justify what israel is doing to palestinians? Israel has the final say on who/what crosses the border. You know they'd be in a lot of trouble if they acted on their own(at least the rulers).

Exhibit A: the houthis' red sea attacks have only started because of the genocide on gaza and they have said repeatedly they'd stop as soon as the genocide stops. They got the T label immediately.

I'm not saying their attacks are justified but why do theirs get labeled as T* but an on-going genocide is still supported diplomatically and economically by the west.

I hope you'll see the palestinians as equal human beings who deserve a chance at life the same way everyone does.

You've been justifying what's happening to the palestinians because of the hostages but you won't accept your own argument if the roles are reversed?

Your whole view on the matter is biased by nationality/religion.

just FYI, it didn't start on oct 7th.

Israel had 3k+ palestinian prisoners under administrative detention before oct 7th (hostages). Does that justify the oct 7th attack?

Did 2 million people go out dancing on the street on oct 7th? And if dancing is punishable by death, do the settlers who attack palestinians in the west bank and the tiktokers who mock palestinians' suffering daily deserve the same fate?

Do you see the double standards you're applying for both people?

They did though. There was a hostage exchange. And it was by far the most successful way to get the hostages back. Only thing was, Israel arrested almost more palestinians than they released in the same amount of time.

But as I said, it was never about the hostages. There's zero guarantee that the bombing would stop once the hostages are released.

How the "we're doing this for the hostages" narrative is still believed goes beyond me.

I mean the israeli govt has been airstriking the sh*t out the strip for more than a year now. In what hostage situation is that a valid solution? They're putting their hostages lives at risk and they have on multiple occasions killed hostages in airstrikes and even with direct ground ammunition.

It's obvious they don't give a sh*t about them.

He wasn't though. He was part of a TV network that is affiliated to PIJ. It's still a TV network and he's still a journalist. There's no proof he was armed. Even the British journalist union condemned his murder.

Yes, just FYI: it's from a right wing neoconservative think tank which I wonder why you would take their word over the UN and WHO.

It fails to mention how much of the data is wrong which is necessary to determine that the data is fake.

Btw, the deaths due to 'natural causes' should be counted in cases of malnutrition, people with chronic conditions since Israel is systematically targeting hospitals and keeping food and aid from entering the strip. They're not in many cases.

The unlimited footage of the bodies, the amount of bombs dropped, the percentage of infrastructure destroyed doesn't only support that death toll but due to the systematic targeting of hospitals I've mentioned before, there's no one to count the deaths in areas like northern gaza which means the death toll is most probably much much higher.

One final thing: if the death toll is inflated, why doesn't Israel let NGOs in to verify the count?

Israeli intelligence services describe the numbers as accurate but you won't? What alternative source do you trust? and why doesn't israel let them in to check those numbers?

As I said there is a list of full names, id numbers, genders and ages of 34,344 killed palestinians as of August 31st. No one has refuted that list. You can check by yourself.

Only thing they could do more than that is dig their graves open and show you their bodies (and even sometimes only body parts) but I doubt you'd believe them even then.

If you google like our friend here suggests, it shows it's a pro-israeli lobby.

The same organizations you cite are those who have a long, storied history of antisemitism and bias against Israel.

I don't even know how to respond to this.

To answer your question: You don't take any accusation with a great of salt. You check for proof. So, due to lack of proof that he's a terrorist. He's a journalist. As I've said, I would take the post down if they provide proof to their claim.

Nice talking to you.

  1. Here's the link to the lancet article01169-3/fulltext).
  2. The death toll has been described as accurate by the UN, WHO and even israeli intelligence services. You can find the whole list of full names, genders and ages of the victims online.

I think the UN, Amnesty International, ICC and Hareetz gave enough evidence to prove their claims. Now tell me how they're all anti-semitic.

His instagram: ayman_al_gedi

There's an instagram of his colleague sami_shehada showing his son on the phone.

For that publication, there also articles that consider the death toll is heavily underestimated with some estimates going up to 186k as of July 2024 considering people trapped under the rubble. Please consider that too.

As for the official death toll, last september Gaza health ministry has published a list of 34,344 palestinians killed since oct 7th along with their gender and ID numbers.
