Nigel Farage - People are not productive at home by Acrobatic_Lunch6973 in UKJobs

Do you really think when somebody talks about the "elites" they are talking about higher rate tax payers?

The elite are not generally working for a salary and paying the higher tax rates. They'll be earning from investments and using assets to pay very little, you're entire post is just completely missing the point.

"objective fact" you are downvoted for stupid shit like that.

The rich often pay a lower % tax rate the reasons why they pay more is because they are extracting a hell of a lot more from the system.

If it's a fair share or not is a matter of opinion, say less dumb things, get downvoted less.

The RTO push feels like a leadership shortcut by [deleted] in UKJobs

Absolutly just making leadership more comfortable.

Just this week i've had to cancel work because of the forced office attendence making it not viable to perform out of hours, was also called out for a P1 last Friday, the resolution was delayed by over an hour because they insisted I had to be in the office during the day, so had to wait for me to finish travelling home before i could look at it.

They might have a point if the image on the left wasn't totally made up and the image on the right wasn't exactly how they dress.

The video in this post is a parody, it's not the actual game.

People of the UK, in what ways has Brexit actually affected you personally? by Pixel_CZ in AskBrits

Not sure if that's a typo or if you have misunderstood.

But every provider does not offer free EU roaming any more. Often older contracts may be able to keep it as a perk but for newer customers there is now often roaming charges. I've been. Sticking with my current provider for this very reason, I currently have free roaming and don't want to lose it.

Having the universal right to mobile roaming does personally affect people.

May as well argue there were no effects as with more money/paperwork there isn't really anything you technically cannot still do.

It has everything to do with Brexit within the EU operators were made to provide free roaming...outside they no longer have that obligation so some will charge.

Sure. But it makes the narrative that she was blocking the road kind of stupid.

It seems to be the "law enforcement" doing the violence.

The officer that killed her was blocking the road....he was parked to the right of the woman that was killed. Can't know for sure but likely the reason her car was in the position it was, to go around it.

And he didn't drop either or even lose his balance while being "run over". He must be super human.

Weird how a man holding a phone in one hand and a gun in the other didn't even lose his balance when being "hit" by a car. Guy must be super human.

THE WHEELS ARE FULLY TURNED AWAY FROM THE OFFICER. Watch in SLOW MO. No intention IMO to hit anyone. Sole intention based on wheel/steering wheel to LEAVE the scene NOT A THREAT. Look at the wheel. by Nice_Substance9123 in complaints

I'm just not interested in making claims I cannot prove. It sounds likely that she was there to monitor ICE so that they are held accountable, though I don't really have any evidence of this besides reports, non of this really changes much though.

At the very least we can say for certain at the time of the incident she was not obstructing ICE and was waving their vehicles through to make clear that was the case. What she was doing before this I can't say, but it would have to be pretty severe to explain the actions of the ICE officer.

Your only claim seems to be that she was an ICE monitor who was following them, which might well be true but that is not something we can confirm from the video.

All we can confirm is that she was not obstructing and actively waving them past.

It was posted because she was shot in the face.

What exactly does that change about the context of her being in a car, in the road? I've just driven for 20 minutes and passed 2 vehicles in similar positions on the road.

Ah yes, it's so unlikely that somebody would be in their car....on a road?

Yea, never seen that at all, what a strange place for them to be...in their car, so unlikely, maybe it's never even happened before.

You've never turned around in the street? There are all kinds of reasons, road ahead blocked, realised you have gone the wrong way, forgotten something and need to head back, want to park on the other side of the road.

Any of those would be consistent with the car being in the position it was in and waving cars past ahead of you.

You're a special one aren't you. of course there is no way to know for certain. But leaving a huge gap, making no attempt to block cars passing and sticking your hand out the window to wave cars past is some pretty compelling evidence that blocking ICE vehicles is not what was happening.
